I agree with your points, except that Avasarala doesn't want to do anything about it. She's just super cautious about allowing people through the rings when we don't know what ELSE the protomolecule can and will do and what's out there. It's her job to be worried about threats and that's been her whole political career. She doesn't want to be responsible for a whole bunch of Earthers getting killed.

Just because you (understandably) love avasarala, it doesn’t mean Nancy isnt correct when it comes to these points.

It's a good thing Avasarala isn't being kept up to date...she'd roll her eyes, throw her arms up and hiss out a few more f-words.
