I can't get on board with killing & framing Stan Beaudry. For me it's another step in an unjustifiable direction. Beaudry was probably a bad guy who got away with killing a prostitute. But again, there was no actual vetting to see if he was worth taking out on his own merits. Instead... Dexter just picked a guy who was close enough to the criteria, but only to cover his own mistakes. That's hollow to me. And ridiculous. Arthur was way worse and Dexter allowed him more courtesy. I remember when Dexter used to only take out killers after the Justice system failed. But now he wants first dibs and undermines the system to do it.

2024-11-13 03:43:50 +0000 UTCFor me, the decision to frame Stan Beaudry it seems like a huge waste of time and a little bit weird, because Christine wasn't going to crack that easy and there were not many leads to Arthur. It was only when Trinity rejected his daughter, saying " I'm sorry you were even born ", that she gave him up...sort of. But then, I rememeber Doakes talking to LaGuerta in the end of the season 2 AND NOT NAME Dexter as the Bay Harbor Butcher....and going all the way to Haiti to find a lab for the bloodwork ?? Forgetting the bloodslides in his car, at the airport ??? Those are even more far-fetched stories than Dexter framing a nobody to get Trinity for himself.
