TWD Daryl Dixon (The Book of Carol): S2E03 L'Invisible

I haven't seen this before... but I get the distinct impression that Carol is being set up to die after rescuing Daryl. From a narrative standpoint, when you call something the 'book of' it carries with it a few concepts. 'Book of' many times has a biblical connotation, and books have two covers.. the beginning, and the ending. If you are referring to a character and calling it 'The Book of _____' I can't help but feel that this directly implies the end cover being closed on them. The ending of their story. I think Carol making this massive journey across the ocean to save Daryl, would be a fitting ending to this character. She's been very much a loner for the entire series. To see her make the ultimate sacrifice for her close friend would be closure.

Am I crazy? I think you cut it off too soon. I remember one more scene. Did I make that up in my head?

Another great episode, I love pre apocalypse flashbacks and I kind of like genet a little more her and carol could have an interesting relationship. I may be naive but I am praying Daryl Isabel and Laurent get back to commonwealth and live happily ever after.

This week Daryl Dixon turned into John Wick! Great scene! But now I’m worried about Isabelle! I think Clémence Poésy is absolutely wonderful in this role, and it would be so nice to see Daryl finally find lasting love. But the writers will never let him be happy, will they. They seem to want him tormented all the time. I’ve never been one of those people who hoped Daryl and Carol would get together. Of course they love each other, but there’s never been romantic chemistry there. They’re family, like sister and brother. So, I know I’m hoping against hope, but I’m praying nothing happens to Isabelle. Daryl deserves to finally have some happiness.

Agreed. And Norman Reedus has been great in it! It’s my favorite of the three spin-offs too. And I love Rick, so that’s saying something.

If i compare these 3 episodes of season 2 to TOWL i can already say with clear mind that this is far better than overhyped The Ones Who Live. I mean just whole scenery, action scenes, effects and main plot is just incredible and it makes u sitting on the edge of ur seat every minute of every episode. TOWL just felt like more of the same even though it was cool to see Rick again but provided nothing special in grand scheme of things with very silly love story moments while Daryl Dixon is like breath of fresh air, just what this universe needed and i am enjoying every bit of it so i dont get from where all that hate for this show is coming from. Probablly just Rick biased fans cant be bothered to watch it or r unhappy Rick isnt in it :D

The addition of Carol to this show has made me so happy. I fully enjoyed the first season but Carol in the mix has made this season much more exciting. I can't wait for the next episode.
