The Expanse S2E10+11 Cascade - Here There Be Dragons

Again guys, if you like space related stuff I highly recommend For All Mankind, it starts pretty grounded but it gets to SF pretty quickly.

Deathhead

Well they all have a personal journey to go through and the relationships evolve, so yeah, I think your reaction is natural, you don't know a lot about Naomi, she has former ties to OPA, etc, I believe it's intended to mistrust her a bit at least.

Deathhead

You don't skip a good intro, that's a rule :) (well, my rule, you do you) As I've said before, the show is great, I'm glad you like it so much, I'm really enjoying your reaction :)

Deathhead

Love how much you are getting into this now. We've all been there! That's what the whole watching reactions journey is for me. To try and re-kindle that first time feeling all over again. Only problem is now we have to wait another week 😭

Alie

totally agree with you about the Avasarala and Errinwright scenes. You only realize now how exceptional Shawn Doyle is, as we see another side of him from now on

Chris 1103

It makes me so happy that you guys are actually enjoying the show. It's so hard to sell it to people because it goes in so many directions, sci-fi elements, plotical elements but the core "found family" style of the crew it was roped me in - much like Firefly.

Grif Kane

oh, please keep the intro.

Alexena

The intro changes subtly throughout each season, often highlighting key events and places that are to come. It’s worth paying attention to them. Also, the music effing slaps!

William

Gunny isn't her nickname, it's a military rank. Gunnery Seargent (might not be spelled correctly.)

Grif Kane

The intro is short and I love it every time even after dozens of viewings. Y'all can cut it for YT uploads but on the uncuts I am always happy to just run through it. In the end scene, I really like that Holden and Naomi are both right and both wrong. They make choices from their gut, based on their pov in the moment and it isn't always the best choice; but it usually ends up being the right choice. They are dealing with pretty extreme situations with a whole lot of their own baggage so, for me it rarely feels contrived. I really like these early seasons because I feel like their questionable actions actually pay off in growth later. Chrisjen is awesome and I love her in this season in particular. She isn't perfect but I rarely bump up against her decisions and feel like she is taking illogical risks. Her relationship with Bobbie and Cotyar (her spy master) is just awesome. To Rob's respectful but thirsty comments about Frankie Adams (Bobbie Draper "Gunny"), she is crazy beautiful. She kinda reminds of Vasquez from Aliens in that she has a rough manner but you can't hide the pretty. This show has some of very beautiful people throughout and as a brown dude, it is also nice to see a range of good looking people from a bunch of different backgrounds but it feels organic rather than that they are just checking boxes for some corporatized diversity initiative. They got the right people for the right parts.

Terry is a hard working actor, that dude has been in so many shows. I think I first started keeping track of him after Continuum.

James W.

I love Naomi partly because she isn't perfect but neither is Holden. This whole current arc is illustrating he imperfection. No one in the crew is a pure archetype, they all have motivations and sometimes they make bad calls. The one that stays most consistent is Amos but even he is going through it really for the next couple of arcs.

James W.

I love the intro music, so it's fine kept in. lol.

Amos T Fairchild

I always liked Naomi. The problem is she is very guarded and keeping secrets. But her wanting to do what she can to help the Belters is sincere and admirable.

I'd like to introduce Chicken Boy to the guy in Fallout who likes chicken in a different way... Once again, this show continues to amaze...from the production design of Ganymede Station (they clearly did their research on hydroponics and space agriculture) to the dialogue not said in dialogue scenes (Avasarala and Errinwright's scenes can be taught in acting classes). And the moment when Prax opens the cryo chamber...the music, the intercuts, the expression on Terry Chen's face...I was holding my hands to my mouth in dread.

Michael Celia

Keep the intro in the shows. It is nice to have time for discussion about the previous episode.

Anthony Ancona

I was so happy when both Amos and Bobbie were just done and starting beating the crap out of those guys lol πŸ˜‚ All I want right now is for the two of them to meet so we can see that interaction.

Emmy

Terry Chen (Prax) also played the captain of the FEDRA boarding school Ellie attended in The Last of Us.

Michael Celia

the guy who is playing the missing girls father looks familiar because he was a guard on the Ark in the 100. Personally I like that you guys leave in the intro, for one the intro gets me hyped for the episode and I also love the banter you guys have during the intros. I’m really loving this show so much, rob I don’t think I’ve ever seen you get so excited and giddy over a show before Am I the only one that doesn’t like Naomi, there’s just something about her that annoys me and her and Holdens relationship feels very one sided and toxic to me
