Masie was the clone of the original young girl that was in first movie. The epic scene when she was pulling on the elevator was a throw back to first movie. Love these movies.

The previous 'world' sets up a new franchise and asks questions about consumerism but is too concerned with crowd pleasing nostalgia. This film is the best directed since Spielberg and has the most interesting themes and ideas since the original. There are also way more subtle visual callbacks (the dumbwaiter door etc) and dark, eery and gruesome shots that feel like the original. Most importantly it tells its own story and pays itself off, which Dominion (sigh), completely fails to do in favour of cameos

I don't love all the choices story wise, but I did actually love the 3rd one (no spoilers, but gosh, it's fun) and I love the dinosaurs in general. Also I'm completely the same as Trin, as I wish the whole movie was from Blue's perspective lol π
