And at the time, it meant something else regardless of the ending. Life just happens outside as well as onscreen... That's the best I can say without touching any important subjects directly 🫣😂

2024-07-22 05:50:29 +0000 UTCThat first scene with O.B. is so brilliantly written and edited, not to mention Ke Huy Quan's performance - it makes what should be a total mind-F....well, a little less of a mind-F. Just remember that an ouroboros is usually depicted as a snake eating its own tail, often symbolic of the cycle of life, death and renewal...essentially a giant time loop where everything that happens, happens again.

He started out as a child actor through his roles in The Goonies and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. He was also a stunt coordinator for the first X-Men movie. Around that time, he left the acting industry. However, following the success of Crazy Rich Asians he reached out to a talent agent and auditioned for Everything Everywhere All At Once. His Goonies co-star and longtime friend Jeff Cohen who’s now an entertainment lawyer helped negotiate his contract to star in the film. Then after seeing his role as Waymond Wang, Kevin Feige reached out to him over the phone with the role of O.B. He was driving during the call, and he was crying with excitement - so much so that he had to pull over and let it out before continuing with the conversation.

I think he has one of the coolest abilities out of pretty much everyone else we’ve seen, he just doesn’t use them often. Him and Mobius have such a good mentor/best friend dynamic, like you said their chemistry is off the charts
