People get so indignant that they can't see clearly. Which is... Clarke killed Bellamy because he made it perfectly clear that he was going to tell Cadogan about Madi. At that point, the physical sketchbook could have evaporated in Bellamy's hands... doesn't change what Bellamy's intentions were.

Octavia

Not to mention people always forget, Bellamy was the ONLY one who knew what Madi had inside her head, so even if she left the book it wouldn't matter. What mattered is bellamy knew AND had the book.

Leksa

The thing is, you can say: oh, Clarke made a choice to stop Bellamy, but lost Madi anyway. Yet that happens constantly on The 100. Look at Indra, for example. If she had just killed Sheidheda, instead of choosing to let him die slowly from his wound - well, then none of this would be happening. But Indra couldn't have known, and neither could Clarke.

Wendy Sparks

This episode was directed by Jessica Harmon... aka Niylah. (I say, stick by Niylah... she's the only person to sleep with Clarke and survive. They otherwise drop quicker and quicker.)

Octavia

Rob ready to throw hands at the end made my day 😂

Gooner

I agree, James. Octavia spent 10 years on Sky Ring... maturing and being a parent and letting Bellamy go. I have no doubt that if Bellamy was a direct threat to Hope... she would've regretfully killed him also.

Octavia

I love the way they did Octavia’s reaction it was so much more impactful than if she were to just be mad. Seeing her hug Clarke after she had to make another soul crushing decision is a lot of character growth. In the past Octavia would have been pissed off with whatever Clarke did even if it was for something smaller than killing Bellamy

James

I have liked Gabriel soooooo much more than Bellamy, these last 2 Seasons. That he received the full blessing -- is delightful. But, ya know, he was trying to protect Madi, instead of delivering her to the Shepherd.

BadCode

Such a great season.

Let's be realistic: Bill Cadogan wouldn't listen to his daughter (who was obviously his favorite) or his wife. So he sure as hell wasn't going to be deterred by Bellamy. No way would Bellamy be able to control whatever Bill Cadogan plans for Madi. Clarke did the only thing she could know in that moment - eliminate the threat in front of her. Imagine this playing out if she didn't shoot Bellamy. Madi gets taken because of Bellamy blabbing to Cadogan, not Sheidheda. That is so much worse, in my book. The irony of life is that sometimes, no matter how you try to prevent something, it happens anyway. But you can't know that in the moment. To quote Lost: the universe has a way of course-correcting.

Wendy Sparks

That's just it though... Bellamy would not have be able to protect Madi from Cadogan and his invisible army. He was nuts to think so. If Bellamy had lived, he would've told Bill about Madi.. and Cadogan would've taken her. This same situation would've happened. Only then it would've been all Bellamy's fault.

Octavia

it’s so unbelievable to me the way they did echo and octavias reactions to his death, just shitting on his character even in his death.. sheesh

thomas fowler

Not Rob throwing hands at the screen when it ended on that cliffhanger 🤣

Shelley

OH MY GOD I can’t wait for next week and to see how the show ends. I can never be mad at Clarke I understand why she does what she does and I really like her character. I’m hoping that we can get rid of cadagan and sheidheda and get everyone on sanctum back to earth and just live happily ever after back on earth.

James

Clarke: "I will not lose anyone else"... (unless its to save Madi, then nobody's safe)

Angela B

Karma is a ... I completely get what Clarke thought in her head was right abt protecting Madi but here u go Clarke. U killed ur best friend who assured u that he will make sure Madi will be safe just so Madi's sketch book ended up anyway in Sheppard hands and now even Madi. Not to forget that Gabriel's blood is also on her hands as well. Whatever happens next is all because of u Clarke. If Bellamy was still around i am sure he would keep his promise but with Bill we will have to see This is exactly why i never really liked Clarke. Its not all abt Bellamy's death but it was definetely the last nail in the coffin and mainly for my patience while watching season 7 back then. Not gonna even mention Sheidheda. I just say this... how the hell he is still alive. Season 7 in nutshell
