That's the wild thing about this show - its like a pool table, if the balls are in the same position and rotation so all the ball surface imperfections are the same, the pool table felt surface is exactly the same with every fibre of the felt at the same position, your cue is striking at the same angle at the same force with the same particles of chalk on the tip, all the air particles in the air are in the same position, then the pool shot will have the same result each and every time. If we extend that to the neurons in the brain firing to make decisions and stuff then its a pretty pessimistic outlook on free will. For whatever reason Jonas being told that stuff made him believe and go through with it, its not about 'not making that decision' or 'not falling for it' because he already has or Michael wouldn't have commited suicide to lead to the Adam talking to him remembering this conversation and Adam knows the words he says will convince Jonas, and Adam doesn't even have a choice to say those words if he's already heard them as Jonas. It's hard to even be optimistic there is any possible way out of all this, or any free will to make your own decisions, because the decisions he's making have already been made its like trying to change what you had for breakfast yesterday when there are witnesses to what you did have for breakfast, doesn't matter what you convince yourself or other people, its not gonna change what you ate.

Love Jonas... but he's so gullible. In the previous episode... when sitting down with Adam... Adam specifically says that he remembers having this exact conversation when he was where Jonas is now. Then he tells Jonas about the god particle's ability to go to any time. But hmmm... where to go to try and fix things? I wonder? It's such a set up... because of course Adam knows what haunts Jonas the most in this moment. He literally just said that he knows how Jonas feels because he remembers being in his place, experiencing this encounter as his younger self. If the first part of their conversation is exactly the same... then so is what happens next. Having the clothes all prepped and ready for Jonas. Oh Jonas, my sweet summer child. I mean, I thought this during my first watch. And I would've asked Adam... didn't he do all of this as well?

Jonas didn't disappear for a year after his dad's death, just for the summer.

The scene between Ulrich and Hannah made me think of something that I'm not gonna say cause I'm kinda hoping they don't go there. But it makes my brain hurt and my skin crawl...I can't be the only one...
