I am not a long movie person either, we have been so lucky with what we do but before the channel I really tried to step away with anything that is nearly 3 hours. The channel became a blessing on that part but we can totally understand you in your personal opinion ๐

2024-07-15 21:17:07 +0000 UTCI was really looking forward to watch this with you. But I couldn't get into the story. When a movie is interesting to me, normally I am so focused after 10-15 minutes. But it didn't happen here after 50 minutes. Dune is Not for me.๐

2024-07-15 21:13:33 +0000 UTCGreat cast, visually stunning. But for me, except for Oscar Isaac's Leto... I just couldn't get invested in their lives. And that's key. I know it's a lot of story to cover... but so was LOTR, and I very much connected with that. This seemed more like lots of haphazard scenes stuck together... some artistic, some gripping, some a little too in love with itself, some just 'eh, don't care'. Like the visions... they got old quick... made me lose interest. And I don't have a short attention span.

A Brittish woman who lives in sweden recorded the sound of a baby squirrel, and it's used in the movie, (that little "desert mouse"). She has a YT channel, her name is Dani.

2024-02-27 12:50:36 +0000 UTCMaybe a few lines of dialogue or exposition explain the lore a little more than the new movie. But thatโs about itโฆ IMO everything else about the old movie is trash. The writing, effects, acting, pace. The visual effects alone are enough for me to never want to watch that movie again lol
