Because if they did, they would have more votes. Instead, the main stream wins out the majority of the time Hopefully, one day Rob and Trin will get to those less voted for.

Transformers has a 85% RT audience score and a slightly better IMDB rating than Maze Runner, so I kinda expected it to be successful on this poll. I personally think both are not great, not terrible - but also both some of the weakest on this list. (Also back when I posted this, Transformers was quite far behind I think)

I'm not sure if you are saying because you think recency bias leads to newer movies winning or saying that older classics have an advantage because they are well known and beloved. But either way to be the best, you got to beat the best. So yes you can maybe give a certain era of movies an easier 'first round' by putting it against similar movies of that era, but then they just get smashed in the next round.

Since there are only four final winners that is a good way imo and every movie has the same chance to win. If there are more suggestions there are multiple polls and then a final poll with the FOUR winners from all previous polls.

2024-01-29 19:09:39 +0000 UTCFunny that so many people are upset about The Maze Runner. I’ve been putting it in polls and suggesting it on discord for awhile now. And FINALLY my suggestion won. And that’s coming from me who loves thought provoking, incredibly dark films such as DUNE, Donnie Darko, and The Butterfly Effect. Not everything needs to be so serious and depressing. After them finishing Harry Potter, Planet of the Apes, Arrival, and currently watching through DARK, I put maze runner in the polls for something more “lighthearted” and a lot of fun to watch. Clearly people are excited about to because it seems to be winning. Nothing wrong with fun movies where you can turn your brain off from time to time. Plus Wes Ball (director of all three movies) is directing the newest Planet of the Apes movie as well.
