2023-08-21 17:42:01 +0000 UTCVery much agreed. I discovered it when I was in my 20's. I turn 40 this year, and it's still one of my favorite shows ever. I bought the steelbook set and they're displayed on my top shelf right next to The Lord of the Rings and Star Wars =) The Legend of Korra was good, but just not "as good" imho. It was actually quite similar to The Hobbit trilogy for me in a way. Being not as great as its predecessor, but still more of that world and enjoyable.

It's definitely a show made to be enjoyed by kids and adults alike, and surpass the stereotypes of animation being immature. The themes are definitely way darker and more intelligent and captivating than any other kids show. Really, I think ATLA is even more mature in alot of aspects than Korra, even though Korra was made for a more teen audience (not to knock it, I adore Korra too! ATLA is just that good)

ATLA is often a difficult series to recommend as an adult, to other adults, without backup from other adult fans lol, since it does give such a strong impression of being "just a kids' show". Someone had to twist my arm to get me to watch it because of that. Then I fell in love with it. Then I had to twist somebody else's arm to get them to watch it for the same reason. And then they fell in love with it. And then they had to convince their spouse to watch it. Which had the same result of them falling in love with it XD. And that seems to be the just the normal pattern for that show apparently. Luckily the show has steadily gained popularity over time though. So there are now quite a lot of reactions series done for it. I'd just personally love to see Rob & Trin do one specifically, because based on all their reactions I've seen so far I'm pretty much certain that they'd love it after giving it a shot. And I've quickly grown quite fond of them, they're both very endearing people, so I'd love to see them enjoy it as well. It's only 3 seasons long, but they probably already have a long backlog of shows to go through already. So even if they did, it likely wouldn't be in the near future anyway. I'll just keep holding out hope for it one day though. They already have a lot of great stuff for me to go through. TL;DR - Thank you for the info XD

Can anyone tell me if Avatar: The Last Airbender has ever been brought up or considered by them, or been on any past polls or anything? After their Firefly and LOTR reactions I'm very convinced that they would like it were they to give it a chance anywhere down the line. They don't seem like the type who automatically dismiss something just because it's animated, but you never know XD
