The Walking Dead: S10E05 What It Always Is - First time watching!

Comments

The captions read different during the conversation from what I heard years ago when I first watched this episode.

Lolapie

The conversation between Carol & Daryl is extremely telling. You can tell Daryl does have feelings towards Connie, but he is scared to open up to her. Carol is his bestfriend for a reason & best friends always sense these things - "I see things". That is why she pushes him, saying he can't live alone for the rest of his life & there's not as many good people like Connie left. You can see Daryl is fighting a lot of inner thoughts....will the reasoning behind his hesitancy be revealed? Who knows!

Many people have said they did not notice first time watching, sorry you are unhappy!

It's getting a bit annoying how you guys stopped paying attention to the details... You ask a lot of questions that you should already know the answer to.. I mean one example (of many) is: If this was in season 4 or 5, you would've immediately noticed that this guy is the one who used to watch over Negan back in Alexandria

Amin Kaza

Who was his father?

I think for once we all wanted Negan to be Negan again ๐Ÿ˜‚ Brandon was the most annoying hype man ever. I would have never though since we met him few times before as a Negan guardian and being kinda rude to him.

It's funny that nobody recognizes Brandon at first. I did just because I am re watching it with you not gonna lie ๐Ÿ˜…. I absolutely love Daryl and Connie's friendship. It's just organic and simple. On the opposite, I can't stand Magna's attitude like 'get over it'. The whisperers are destroying Hilltop and she is having a temper tantrum stealing from the hand that feeds her. Can't wait to see more of Negan!!!

Kamanda Hickey

Brandon's death is one of the most satisfying in the whole show and we barely knew the guy ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Connie is the first woman we have seen Daryl be like this with. He's so giddy & shy. The fact he's gone out of his way to find an ASL book, to learn how to communicate with her is extremely telling. They're a great dynamic.

T

They have always used cg and practical blood through out the entire show so cg blood is still there its just that scene didn't call for it.

Yah, it was only at the beginning - in season 2, that I thought maybe Daryl & Carol would be together, but it didn't take long before I thought, well...it might be better if they stay friends. Their friendship is quite special. Now Connie & Daryl...I got on board with that fast. Nobody can say Daryl isn't interested. He not only learned ASL for her, but he talked more than he ever has before (except with Carol & Rick), to tell her a story, just to make her laugh. Love it! I was horrified to see Ezekiel's tumor. Why him? It's always the good guys. Damnit! That fanboy, Brandon...for once since he was introduced, I wanted Negan to be Negan...and he was. lol

Listen closely to Carol and Daryls next heart to heart convo.

Lolapie

Daryl and Connie are so cute

James

Even though episode 16 was filmed as the original finale, I always think of episode 22 as the real finale and episode 8 as the mid season point

Gelato

Really excited for what's coming! Never underestimate Negan.

Reverend Jim Jones

Awesome episode and reaction again

Sherry Bandito

The mid-season and season finally are still episodes 8 and 16, 17 - 22 are technically bonus episodes that were shot during the pandemic, but don't worry this not an indication of quality, expectations or anything like that at all, they are actual episodes that were added after ๐Ÿ™‚

roncelune

This is one of this most underrated episodes in the whole show in my opinion. Daryl and Connie are the best as usual, but Negan shines even more than he already has been, and thatโ€™s saying something. โ€œI am Ne-โ€œ *clunk* *smash, squelch squelch* will never NOT be iconic in my eyes.

Michael R

Yeah Trin is right it's not Lucille, Michonne told Negan 'we don't have your bat, it's still out there'. Brandon told him he was 'wrapping his gift', he just made him a new one

Michael

Brandon was the guy who was keeping watch over Negan when he was out doing his chores, like his bodyguard. You've seen him before but he was just kinda in the background whenever Negan was out of his cell.
