Fear The Walking Dead: S4E16 ...I Lose Myself - First time watching!

Comments

I enjoyed season four. I never watched the 2nd half of the 4th season (or beyond) of FTWD because life got busy. I enjoyed watching it with you two. Yeah they were plotholes but it didn't take away from my enjoyment. Looking forward to season 5.

I am definitely in the minority here but I personally liked her as a villain. I think it was there to show that some people are beyond saving. There was nothing Morgan could’ve done to change her mind. Even in her last moments she wanted to hurt other people. The last thing she did was cut her arm off so she could continue to hurt people after she’s gone. I think if they were going to stop Morgan from going back to Alexandria they needed a good reason to and I think without her there wouldn’t be that reason. She helped Morgan realize the necessity of what they’re going to be doing. I don’t think without her that Morgan would’ve stayed and decided to help people. I know a lot of people shit on FTWD post season 3 but I like the cast of characters much more than pre season 4. It introduced some of my favorite characters like John, June, Al, Wendell, and Sarah. Again, I’m definitely in the minority here, but I couldn’t stand another Madison story. In my opinion they already played out the parent that will do anything to protect their kids with Rick so everything I saw with Madison bored the hell out of me. I think fear the walking dead is more of a playground for TWD writers so they can do interesting stuff that wouldn’t fit in the main show. I think half the characters in TWD are basic, boring, and just filler characters that they can kill off to make stuff interesting. In fear the walking dead, I feel like every character is interesting and different. They all have different motivations and different character arcs. I think the cast is much more interesting and unique and I haven’t felt that way about TWD in a long time. Most people hate how fear changed when Madison left and I’m the exact opposite. I feel like Fear really started to take its own shape when Madison left. We don’t have to focus just on the Clark family anymore and we can expand the world. I do think the writing can get a little goofy and off the wall but I think it is a welcomed change of pace from the main show. I just think that when you accept the idea that FTWD gives the writers more room to work than TWD the show is more enjoyable. I like to see what the writers can do when they aren’t as tied down as they are in TWD. Fear seems more outlandish but yet more believable. TWD feels way too reluctant to kill off popular characters and fills in half baked characters that are just canon fodder to quell the need to kill off characters to keep it interesting. By diversifying the main cast of characters, fear makes it so you feel that everyone can die. Watching TWD I always felt like there were certain characters they’d never kill off. Hell, even when they “killed” Rick off, he didn’t even die. I know most people don’t like Fear, but I love it. That’s way too long of a rant but I hope you guys keep enjoying it because I think the next few seasons are some of the better parts of The Walking Dead’s universe

You guys are making post S3 actually enjoyable to watch (shocking). Gonna keep watching the show with you, otherwise I would not watch it. Sorry!

NEXT SEASON.....FEAR STARTS

I am very sad because I think in officially done watching this series with you guys. Lol the writing is just so bad. I'm thoroughly surprised at how much you guys are trying to analyze completely bad writing. Hahaha. I'm right there with you with the whole ethanol thing... they choose to watch the ethanol leak out of the truck and then fought for all the strength to find their way back inside all to have a savior moment for and bring back jimbos beer for the episode??? Lol what the fuck? It is so bad. And to have this crazy lady be so pointless is just the dumbest part in this whole season. She wasn't a real threat, if she was, one of them would have just killed her and she is considered the big bad of the season? I will 100% continue twd but I will check in from time to time on here. It's just too painful to watch. I'm glad so many people enjoy this show because the actors are amazing and deserve all the love they can muster considering the writing is like 1000xs worse than got season 8. You guys are the best though! I'll see you on Friday for black sails!!!!! 😉

Omfg I never noticed that crossover!!!!!

Martha's villainy was a little disappointing. I thought they could have done better with her character. I'm glad that nobody died, tho. Oops! Martha did. RIP Martha.

I can’t believe we’re on season 5 already. The set up for the next season in this finale seems awesome it’s such a cool idea

This my third time watching FTWD It's great to watch along with R&T "It wasn't supposed to be this way" was the phrase crossover I mention it when Maggie confronted Negan in the jail on TWD Here, the crossover phrase will be "What took you so long" Not a spoiler just one of the subtle ways I noticed that each series interchange

Well, the "Filthy Lady" (like people called her at the time) is definitely not on my favorites TWD villains list.
