The 100: S1E04 Murphy's Law - First time watching!

Comments

Hello ! I hope you're doing well ? I'm having an issue : While watching the reaction, the video suddenly "shut down" and wont play the video anymore. I have this following message : "The media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported." I already switched tab, browser and rebooting my PC but nothing works. I'm not sure what happened. Has this happened before ? would there be a way to have access to this reaction on another server ?

I agree with this. Banishing him seems like the only choice for Clarke because she doesn't want to directly murder anyone but Murphy is completely unpredictable and uncontrollable. Letting him stay and possibly gather support for his way of doing things would be very dangerous and while it's a death sentence to leave him alone in the wilderness, at least now they can pretend to some degree they did the best they could to try to keep things civil within the camp. Now acting out or going against Bellamy and Clarke is the ultimate no no. And they don't even have to kill you. They can just leave you out there alone.

Emmy

They're all kids, tbf, and making kids decisions. They know how democracy works, given where they came from, but they were banished too. So, I feel that a little bit of "Lord of the Flies" action is warranted for a while. They are just getting to know what the real world is all about, and coming of age in it. I give them all a pass. Even Murphy. For now. He does have a point, tbh. They were willing to kill him based on suspicion; and not only willing to let the girl live, but protect her too. I'd be a little pissed myself. He's an ass, but he deserves a chance just like anyone of them whose trying to survive... live.

They really flight flop these characters personality traits out of nowhere!!! But im invested I think

Tarabee

Haha literally in the exact same position as you!

I do think that banishing him is better than the alternatives because we shouldn’t just flat out kill him and keeping a guy like him prisoner is probably very hard to do he doesn’t seem like he’s go for that and then someone else might get killed or someone might even kill him. So technically banishing gives him a chance to live and minimize damage overall.

James

I think Trin you have a good point about Murphy not being the type to want to be an allie if he returns but tbh I can understand how he feels if I'd been hung and banished when I hadn't done anything I'd feel the same. And banishment is something extra here - he is being sent out into the unknown. Imagine being banished on a planet you know nothing about apart from the fact there are things out there trying to kill you.

@AmethystRock

keep the episodes coming

Wonton

I don't know if it's just me but I'm getting an error message when I try to open the first uncut link. The drive link works though. Maybe others can tell me if it's just me or if they are experiencing it too. Just thought it was prudent to mention it.

It won't take Seasons to get really good -- S2 is fire. I'm sure you'll be fully invested by the end of S1. And -- Ha -- Murphy does deserve to get peed on. That's about all really. Or make him dig latrines. Can't blame him at all for knocking down Bellamy. Because it was Bellamy who ultimately made him hang by actually making him swing.

Charlotte was very much giving sociopath. Also, remember she was arrested bc they “said she assaulted a guard”. I feel like it was probably more violent than she let on

Brittany McGee

Even though Murphy isn't likable, I can understand his anger at the double standard being applied... just because it was a younger girl. He was nearly killed for something he didn't do... but Charlotte gets the 'kid gloves' treatment. Which I also understand. But I mean she's 13, not 9. Most of them probably were traumatized by a parent getting floated... and they all didn't chose to murder an innocent Wells over it. (Even if they didn't like him.) Definitely not advocating to string up Charlotte. At all. But I think she deserved Clarke's wake up call, at the very least. Personally, I think she was a sociopath in the making though. RIP Charlotte. And I agree.... Murphy's treatment/punishment was excessive and did not fit what happened. What Charlotte did to Wells was way, way worse than Murphy's general douchery.

BadCode

It's very addictive. And once it's at full momentum, it really rolls along.

BadCode
