Both links seem to be down…

Nash Tei

Very understandable lol also 10 out of 10 flick

Jay13

One of the best

Lolapie

You are correct of course , but as he co wrote it and played a major role in it, I count it in my fuddled brain 🤘

ezza

From dusk till dawn. Is a robert rodriguez film

Jay13

This movie really bought Travolta back into the mainstream and revitalized his career into a serious actor - timeless classic

Jaxon's Jerseys

I love The Hateful Eight

Pamela Robinson

I stared at him thinking what else do I know him from?!? Thank you!! Another reactor I watch just finished his story line last week, I'm mad I didn't put it together considering how fresh his face is in my mind.

Katie Young

Damnit I never realized or even considered Kill Bill/Fox Force Five parallel lol!! Makes allll the sense now though! I'm not a huge Tarantino fan but I enjoyed the movies I have seen. I'll say I got the most from Pulp Fiction now in my 40s than in the 90s 🤣 the writing really was superb.

Katie Young

In the case is Elvis’s gold jacket, or Marcellus Wallace’s soul, or whatever

Ben

Travolta's movie career was revived because of this movie.

Driver ED

Definitely. Even in something as innocuous as the Avengers stuff, whenever the dialogue goes sideways for a bit -- that's pure Tarantino.

JM63

Did they never see Saturday Night Fever then, or Grease? because thats what he was most associated with lol

PhoenixReturns

When this came out I went to see it at the movie theater. I was surrounded by a lot of senior citizens thinking it was John Travolta from look who’s talking. Instead they saw drugs and bad language coming from good ol’ John. All the old folks left demanding their money. I enjoyed the movie. The dialogue is what got me hooked on the movie. It also introduced me to Reservoir Dogs.

Ferdinand Tayo

This sums it up, they pointed out snatch but truth is most modern cinema probably has a bit of Tarantino influence in their dna.

lemmy101

I hear you. I’ve seen many of his films, but I’m just not much of a Tarantino fan either. Probably won’t watch this reaction. Just no desire to see it again. Though I loved “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood”. So there’s one. Lol

MaggieS61

I remember when came out. I was 24 years old, but I never got around to seeing it. I've seen several of his other movies though. His work is pretty good, but he can be formulaic in style. Otherwise he puts out good movies.

Anthony Ancona

I'm glad this still holds up well enough for you to enjoy it, but Pulp Fiction really is one of those "you had to be there" type films. By now we've all become so desensitized to this kind of crudity in terms of dialogue and scenarios, and non-linear structures are common today, but back in 1994 these sorts of things weren't really seen in big box office hits. Pulp Fiction feels so less revolutionary now because its ethos has saturated all of today's pop culture.

JM63

I know a lot of people are encouraging more Tarantino and I'd love to see you react to Inglorious Basterds. Trin may appreciate that a good amount of the movie is in French and I personally think it's his best film

Maggie Barbour

Kill Bill and others are top tier recommendations as per other comments. I’d throw Jackie Brown into the mix too, one of my favourites from Tarantino.

Dylan

Do Kill Bill. Youll love it!

Goran Kovačević

Oh Please do Kill Bill!

verdantdruid

I think the acting is superb; the dialogue is funny & fantastic, and the filming style is unique, and yes, the soundtrack is FIRE! But, except for watching it here with you two, I have only seen this movie once before. It's just not my preference. And it's not because of the violence - I love other movies that have had worse. lol I think I just didn't like the choppyness of the story. But, I also have to admit that I enjoyed watching it again with you guys.

angie808

It wasn’t coke that Mia sniffed it was heroin

Josh

Tim Roth is an amazing actor 🙌 and I love that he is one of the same people Tarantino prefers to cast in his movies. *Leon is a masterpiece for sure, I'm just more like a fantasy girl myself 😂so I love Luc's take on comics more)

Apricot M

Oh, yes! I love that one too! Salma Hayek and George Clooney 👨‍🍳💋

Apricot M

Paul the 'bartender' was actor Paul Calderon from Fear the Walking Dead (Alejandro, leader guy who made out he got bit by a walker and didnt turn) ;)

PhoenixReturns

Once again, you 2 prove why you are my favorite reactors. Great watch. Quick question......did you know that Robin from Stanger Things was the daughter of Uma Thurman?

Lovaire Hawkins

Mine too!!

Jenny Lee Villanueva

Yes! Django 💜

Jenny Lee Villanueva

My favorite is From Dusk Till Dawn 💜

Jenny Lee Villanueva

“Dolores Claiborne” from 1995 is a good one if you haven’t seen it.

CheshireKat528

“Four Rooms” is awesome, I really enjoy the almost episodic style it has. I am a big Tim Roth fan and love his over the top performance in “4 Rooms” Luc Besson, 👍👍 Leon:The Professional from 1994 is on my top ten favorite movies list, and has been since I was 14. “5th Element” is so much fun and a great first time watch as well as rewatch!

CheshireKat528

yes, bastards

Count Monte-Cristo

“Freeway” from 1996 is a wild ride, it has somewhat of an ensemble cast including Amanda Plummer, Kiefer Sutherland, and a young Reese Witherspoon.

CheshireKat528

YES! I absolutely love The Fisher King, such powerful performances by the 4 leads, Jeff Bridges, Robin Williams, Mercedes Ruehl, & Amanda Plummer.

CheshireKat528

It’s a great line! I love that chronologically it is the last line of the movie.

CheshireKat528

django unchained, and dusk till dawn, my faves from tarantino

ezza

definitely recommend django unchained and inglourious basterds if you want more tarantino :) there is some amazing acting in both of them!

Agnes

Hi! I'm new here and so far love mostly everything you watch and your reactions are always so entertaining)). Love Tarantino and his unique take on making movies.. my favorites are "4 rooms" and Kill Bill which I'm sure you'll love as it is a reworked version of the Fox Force 5 pilot that you seemed to like 😅hope you'll watch those sometime too..*** p.s. idk if you already watched any movies by Luc Besson (there was non in the tags but I'm not sure) if not pls consider "5th element " from 1997 , it's right up to your alley 😉 as I know you like sci-fi/ action movies .. also Valerian and the City of 1000 Planets is cool tho very underrated imo.

Apricot M

Well at least now I can say that I have watched it, but I can't ever Imagine watching it again. I guess it's just not my thing.

Bradley Weeks

Tarantinos movies are more of a journey than a destination, your along for the ride in a slice of peoples lives. Its not your traditional style of storytelling so it doesnt resonate with everyone. Its all good though, not everthing works for all people :)

Joseph Bayley

Amanda Plummer is also in The Fisher King, with Robin Williams, directed by Terry Gilliam, very under-rated movie.

PsYcHoKiLLa

x3... I love Amanda Plummer. She is so fantastic at playing off-kilter. One of my fave movies with her is So I Married an Axe Murderer. And more recently, her turn in the final season of Picard.

Octavia

It is awesome that you guys enjoyed this film. I have been a Tarantino fan since I was a teenager in the mid 90’s when he was the hot new director in Hollywood. My personal favorites are “Reservoir Dogs” from 1992 his feature film debut and “True Romance” from 1993. “True Romance” was only written by Tarantino, it was one of the first scripts he ever wrote and he sold it in order to help fund the production “Reservoir Dogs” “True Romance“ was directed by Tony Scott who kept most of Tarantino’s script in tact, especially when it came to dialogue and conversations between the characters. I recommend both “Reservoir Dogs” & “True Romance” if you guys want to continue down the Tarantino rabbit hole at some point. I also 2nd any suggestions for you guys to watch Kill Bill, Volumes 1&2, Rob can gush some more about Uma😜

CheshireKat528

She started catching my eye when I saw her in "Needful Things," which is one of my favorite Stephen King stories. But I never know what she's going to be in. When I saw "Catching Fire," I didn't know she was going to be in it. It's always a surprise and "Oh, there she is" moment, lol. And I didn't realize it was Christopher Plummer in "The Sound of Music." I think I maybe saw that movie twice as a kid. I know him more from the horror genre.

Thoma

(Pretty sure Trin will love it too.) Also, you will be able to watch them back to back - but they were released a year apart, which was a bummer for those of us who saw it in the theatre.

V

Love your comment! I also love Amanda Plummer. She played “Wiress” in the second Hunger Games movie. Also, her dad is the super famous actor, Christopher Plummer, best known for playing the father in “The Sound of Music.” Once you learn that, you can see that she looks SO much like him.

V

Good movie. Great reacion.

Count Monte-Cristo

Kudos to you for mentioning the dialogue. Dialogue is one of Tarantino's trademarks as a writer and director. And feet shots, LOL! Also, Amanda Plummer, the lady in the beginning, is one of my favorite character actors. You never know what she's going to pop up in.

Thoma

A very quotable movie. I still like to randomly say ---- Zed's dead, baby. Zed's dead.

Octavia

Did you catch SLJ's catchphrase in this movie was written on Nick Fury's gravestone in The Winter Soilder???

Charlotte Augustine

Some facts about the movie : When Vince and Mia dance at the 1950s restaurant called Jack Rabbit Slims, they, presumably, won. It is never actually stated however, that they won. Later on, during Butch Coolidge’s storyline, a TV announcer can be overheard stating that the trophy was actually stolen. When Mia orders her shake, The waiter asks her “Martin and Lewis or Amos and Andy?” What he is really asking is whether she wants vanilla or chocolate. Martin and Lewis were white entertainers while Amos and Andy were black comedians. People wonder about the bandaid on the back of Wallace's head, Ving Rhames just cut himself shaving one day and the director decided to keep it in the film. The role of Jules was actually written for Samuel L. Jackson but his first audition was bad, because he didn't put any effort in, he wasn't going to be cast but, thankfully, they let him try again. Vincent Vega was supposed to be played by Michael Madsen, for reasons Tarantino fans will know, unfortunately he had a scheduling issue, he was filming Wyatt Earp at the time, so he had to drop out. The movie then became a resurgence for John Travolta's career. In the movie, Vincent Vega’s car is keyed by an unknown assailant. The perpetrator is never revealed in the movie but a deleted scene and Tarantino’s own testimony tells us that it was, in fact, Butch. Vincent Vega's car, a 1964 Chevelle Malibu convertible, was actually owned by Tarantino, it was stolen from the set and eventually found two decades later, the owner had no idea of it's origin. The scene where Mia Wallace overdoses and John Travolta’s character is forced to plunge a syringe of adrenaline into her heart, that wasn’t all movie magic… A real needle was involved and everyone was on edge during the scene. The very first poster advertising the movie Pulp Fiction showed Uma Thurman smoking, as in the later posters, but in the first one she was smoking from a pack of Lucky Strikes. Miramax neglected to obtain the rights to use those cigarettes. If you are one of the lucky few to still have an original poster it can fetch several hundred dollars. The actress who plays the taxi driver, when Butch is making his getaway after the fight, Angela Jones, played a similar role in a TV pilot, as a crime scene cleaner, a woman obsessed with death, the pilot was not picked up. If you also look at the rear projection for the outside of the taxi, you'll notice it's actually in black and white. In the scene when John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson are shot at in the apartment and the shooter misses, the bullet holes are already in the wall even before shots are fired. Take a look if you watch it again. Another mistake is that before John Travolta gives Uma Thurman the adrenaline shot in the chest, they mark the spot with a red marker. Later on in the scene, the red mark disappears, without ever explaining how. Tarantino was going to play one of two characters, Jimmie or Lance (the drug dealer). He eventually chose Jimmie as he wanted to be behind the camera during Mia’s overdose scene. Jules’ famous and often quoted Bible passage was in fact made up by Quentin Tarantino and Samuel L. Jackson. Only the final two lines feature in Ezequiel 25:17 When Tarantino is in front of the camera, his good friend Robert Rodriguez was directing. The Gimp is played by Steve Hibbert, Tarantino later revealed that he dies, not from the one punch but due to asphyxiation from being hung while unconscious. Tarantino said the character would've been a hitchhiker or another victim that they picked up seven years ago, and they trained him, so he’s the perfect victim The budget for filming the movie was just $8.5 million, a small sum compared to the average movie production budget totalling around $50 million at the time. Tarantino wrote the movie while in Europe, he spent his mornings strolling around the beautiful canals of Amsterdam drinking tons of coffee, then returned to his room to write as much as possible. Some of the dialogue was affected by his time in Europe, including the famous scene about what a quarter pounder is called in France. The movie has 265 F-Bombs, good luck editing for YouTube.

PsYcHoKiLLa

One of my top 10 films - definitely interested to see how you guys find it if it's your first Tarantino film as well, I'd definitely argue it's a solid one to start on 👌 I get those who aren't a fan of his films, but one thing I do love about them is how well he can write dialogue, in how he can make what might otherwise seem like a drawn out, casual and pointless conversation so engaging, entertaining and flow so naturally through a scene 😄 I respect how dedicated a director and filmmaker he is as well; he's one to look directly through the lens, engaging closely with the actors he's working with the whole time instead of sitting back out of the way and watching the scenes being shot on a monitor. He hand writes his screenplays too!

Ryan Robert Walker

I know I'm putting myself out there and I'll get bullied for it, but It still really puzzles me how so many people enjoy this movie, Tarantino movies in general 😅 they're just, idk, not really good, unnecessarily gruesome with no real plot that makes sense. And yes it could be that I just don't "understand" what he's trying to do with his movies, but that's just personal opinion anyways and I just don't see myself rewarching his movies over other movies if that makes sense?

Eisbär

OH ROB! Kill Bill part 1 and 2 are a mandatory watch for you, sir! Uma Thurman stars, and it’s Tarantino. It’s AWESOME!

V

Oh boy. Hope your doubts about the movie weren't warranted and you ended up enjoying it. For me, this movie slaps all the way, but we'll see haha, let's go !
