I gotta say to the last part, when you mentioned Daryl killing Moralas didn't feel like Dayrl anymore; people gotta realize that he's always been emotional and that's why we loved him. But then he was captured and tortured. And those emotions went full blast. He didn't give a single shit about any savior. He's still our Daryl. But broken. And that's why the show is so perfect. He's not the same character from season one.

I always loved the contrast between Negan & Alpha as villains. It really makes you appreciate someone like him who has a code & who hasn't fully lost his humanity. With Negan, you kind of know what you're going to get & what his goal is. With Alpha... it's really not clear & seems very animalistic & chaotic, from what we've seen.

It's so true & I'm glad they brought someone like Luke into the show. Obviously having the necessities we need to survive are important, but at the end of the day, it's our creativity & imagination that connects us as humans. We all need some way to express ourselves & be able to cope. I don't know how I'd get through this life without music & poetry.

Connie is a total badass and that moment she jumped to the baby’s rescue was the moment I fell in love with her character. Alpha is by far one of the most terrifying villains on TV. She just showed the Hilltop (and us) just now ruthless she can be, definitely not one to be fucked with. Samantha Morton absolutely knocks it out of the park with her performance. Can’t wait to rewatch the rest with you guys.

Again, there are themes of living vs. "just surviving somehow" this season, as Enid tells Henry. Luke said it a few episodes ago in Episode 7. Culture, art, and community make life worth living, even though those go beyond basic needs. Our survivors aren't like Alpha's group, "We're animals". They can have wants (movies) instead of just needs (the elk). I love Season 9 and your reactions! Thanks! Samantha Morton plays Alpha sooo well. I thought she would be hokey coming from the comics, but she managed to elevate this role. Not surprised, since she's an Oscar nominated, BAFTA winning actress!

Okay, a few things to say here...Enid is around 22 here, so yeah, she's definitely got a few years on Henry. Magna and Yumiko are actually a couple, not sisters...I think they've been together since before the apocalypse. And about Daryl, you've gotta remember he was a captive of the Saviors, and I know it wasn't for long but it made him especially hostile toward members of that organization, lol. When he killed Morales, it's because he had Rick at gunpoint...Who do you think Daryl is going to choose, Morales or Rick? So yeah, that didn't bother me and I do think it was perfectly "in character" for Daryl.

When the baby was placed on the ground, I thought (actually was screaming in my head), 'Surely, TWD are not going to, after all these season, go as far as having a baby killed while we watch, are they? ARE THEY?!!!!" LOL! Connie became my new favorite at that very moment she ran out to rescue it. Alpha, IS the scariest. She's as dead inside as she portrays herself to be on the outside.

Lydia scratched Daryl's eye with the hook on the wall next to her cell. Magna and Yumiko are not sisters. I love Connie. She's so brave. Henry was willing risk Luke and Alden's life and everyone in Hilltop for Lydia. I love that Daryl was the one to walk out and face Alpha. Daryl would do anything for his communities.
