The Walking Dead: S9E10 Omega - First time watching!

Comments

You were so Clueless this episode, loved it :D

Miroslav Blabla

It was alpha cutting her hair doing "what she wants now" not the dad

Conor whitham

Lydia’s dad never cut his beard, that was the story she was told from Alpha

Jason Bogart

I'm looking forward to the upcoming episodes! And I'm glad ya'll understand Lydia's story now. When I first saw it, I was shocked at the reveal and felt so sorry for her.

connie

Glad to hear you are enjoying the new arc, Can't wait for episode 12 :D

Blizard

Yes, Connie and Kelly are sisters😁.

Karena Benford

No the dad never shaved his beard. She was getting her dad and mom mixed up. You see in the flashbacks the mom says the same thing as the dad when he’s cutting his hair. It really was the mom who cut her hair. It wasn’t weeks after he died. It’s the same day. It’s confusing because Lydia is telling the story her mom was telling her for years versus what she actually remembers that day. And only her dad has the tattoo of her name on him. She mixes it up because she wants her mom to be a good person like her dad was.

Lydia's story was definitely a mix up between what she remembers, what she saw and what her mother told her. Her mom probably shaved her head instead of her dad shaving his beard. I don't think that the guy Alpha killed turned 2 weeks later, she just doesn't understand the timeline of things. I love the way Daryl felt for Lydia, like Rob said, he totally has empathy because of his own childhood. That's also the reason why he is so close to Caroll.

Alpha is so different from every other villain we've experienced so far. Truly scary. Enjoy her character, Samantha Morton absolutely crushes this role.

Amanda

Thank you for all your hard work. I’ve canceled all my other subscriptions and even my internet but this is one subscription I do not want to cancel. ❤️

Steven Schmaling

We understand what happened with the flashback. By the time I was working it out in my head we had moved on in the episode and had to focus on the things happening so did not say anything, with what happened at the end we got distracted. We are good on the details now, thank you xx

And there she is, Alpha. Played by the incredible, Oscar nominated, British actress Samantha Morton. She is absolutely mesmerising as Alpha and I’m so excited to rewatch with you guys. You’re confused by the flashbacks, with the beard and timings. There were different versions gradually unravelling as Lydia comes to terms with the actual truth. The beard shaving was actually her Mum shaving her head. Rob was somewhat right in what he said, that Alpha is definitely dark Carol…. But as Lydia revealed when she finally remembered the truth, her Mum was always the abuser. She wasn’t a victim. Shit’s gonna be interesting to say the least.

Brad Tyler

This was a great reaction I love everything about it I can't wait for the next episodes for you guys to react to it The hype is real I'm glad y'all sympathize with Lydia and Daryl everything about this episode was amazing 🤩

Mackendie

The way it was executed was a bit confusing.

k4rizz4

Never gets old seeing Alpha walk up to Hilltops gates. So chilling.

Jeff1990

This is such a great season. It shows us the development of the communities, but at the same time it's so twisted. Alpha is the worst, she fcked up Lydia so much. Here's the thing, we can argue about Henry's decisions forever, but he has heart and he made Lydia comfortable enough to open up and made her feel safe. And he benefits from having being trained from Morgan and raised by Ezekiel in that he hasn't lost the hope in humanity the way many of our characters have.

the continent

People criticize a lot when movies exposition dump, but people hate this episode for letting you figure it out yourself. Lol

Ae Jae Meade

Exactly.

Ae Jae Meade

I love the way this episode is done but I will admit it's 100% confusing the first time around. Hope it's explained to them

Ae Jae Meade

Ms. Samantha Morton!!!!! I love her in everything I've seen her do. She always has such a commanding presence. Great actress.

Thoma

I was amazed by her from the very beginning.

angie808

That look that Daryl has after saying to Lydia, "I don't give a shit!" means that he gives a shit. We know he does. Threat or not, she is, still, just a girl, and then to find out she was abused..... I think it was brilliant the way they told this story of Lydia's upbringing. I was spoiled - again - by comic book readers, and some reactors who read the comics too. So, I knew who the antagonist was. But the way they told this story was confusing, based on what I thought I knew. The writers did good with confusing us ALL. The trailer for this 2nd half of the season, show Alpha walking up to Hilltop. It was the scariest approach of an antagonist this show has ever had. Negan was "funny"; Governor looked helpful; Garret looked welcoming, but Alpha....OMG!!! I was scared & excited all at the same time. Again, sorry for the long comment, but I love this show, and this season so much, this is really nothing compared to what I really want to say. LOL!!!!

angie808

Lydia's actress Cassady McClincy is so good, her performance this episode was insane

Justyn Kormendy

I’m Assuming mods will help them understand the time & beard/hair flipping stuff 👍🏻. I personally didn’t like the way they wrote & shot that but props to them for doing something different I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Jack's World

omg there is an explanation pls somebody send them the right comment

thomas fowler

guys he never shaved omg yall were so stuck on that but it wasnt even something that happened the guy turned in regular time

thomas fowler

Hahaha very valid point!

Maggie Barbour

She really is a fucking psychopath. You can see just in the flashbacks how crazy and controlling she was. Lydia's dad was a dilf for sure... I'm shocked she scored a man like that with her personality. It's the most unrealistic part of this zombie storyline. Hahaha

Angelina Sargent

guys daryl told him to show her that it can be safe

thomas fowler

I am not saying she's my favorite villain, but Alpha is definitely the scariest to me. She's unhinged.

Maggie Barbour

thank you for commenting this bc i thought they for sure were gonna catch it but then they thought it had been three weeks i was like omg

thomas fowler

He didn't grow a beard, he never shaved it in the first place. The mom was the one who shaved her hair.

gcdnr2272

To this day Alpha´s introduction is still one of the most iconic ones in the show for me. Seeing her in the flashbacks and then later see her walking so badassly to Hilltop, was so awsome!

Bassorelli Chiara

Samantha Morton (Alpha) is an amazing British actress

Stella Pg13

When the Dad was cutting his beard, it was the actually Alpha shaving her head. As that was Alpha version of the story. it wasn't weeks after he turned it just Alphas story

just aaron

Henry is simping hardcore

James

Banger after Banger! Who knew TWD was so awesome?

Handsome_Man

I personally love season 9 and I'm glad y'all are enjoying it too as I'm enjoying your reactions to it! Seasons 7-8 weren't my favorite and 9 just brought the bar back up! And just incase there was any confusion with her flashbacks- Lydia's first flashback was not the truth, it was the lie her mother brainwashed her with. The next flashback, where her dad's beard is still chopped, its the half truth... and the third flashback where his beard grows back, and her mothers hair is chopped, is the full truth. The fourth flashback where Lydia sees her dad bitten is another lie installed by the mom. As she goes further in and remembers more, she tells the full truth on what happened and what her mom's like.

Leksa

Ahhh this is a good one

Kim Magee

Just wanted to say that Rob and Trin are seriously awesome lol

Christian

WOOOOOOO
