I was PISSED when they killed Jesus off. If you had been a fan of the original comics you would know that Jesus had a big role to play. You wanna talk about BADASS, he was a beast. In the comic he was the one that used the stick and he had crazy good skills in martial arts. Watching this the first time I kept waiting for them to start using his character like he was in the comic, and the longer it went without really showcasing how cool that character was the madder I got. They just pissed away one of the best main characters from the original source material. I mean I couldn't wait for them to introduce his character and that first scene of him tackling into Rick as soon as I saw him I was like YAY!!! IT'S JESUS! LET'S GO! And then nothing ever happened. We got robbed, that's all I'm saying.

Ish

Yeah I'm not one to contribute to the "this show/sean/character/etc is bad or slow" or what have you but I do agree. Season 1 was at times rough to even consider to be in the universe BUT by Season 2 it got REALLY good and definitely expands/explains a TON of story in the universe building as a whole.

Katie Young

The walker that climbed the fence was in 1x02, not 03. Hence the title “Guts” for 02.

Handsome_Man

And it’s only two seasons of ten episodes each. I just wonder when they would fit that into their schedule

Steven Schmaling

Rob & Trin, you definitely need to watch The Walking Dead : World Beyond spinoff, it will make a lot of things that happen in the main show make sense! It's not the best spinoff but essential viewing for TWD fans as it has a lot of Easter eggs and explains things.

Shelley Timbs

The creepy music is so good as well in this episode, and I loved that in the credits it still played

Christian

Explaining time, this is not spoiler, just logical deduction based on what we seen/heard so far: They are not “talking/whispering” to the walkers, but to themselves. We saw a few of them attacking and heard more near the end. They just went full on disguise, method acting style it seems. They communicate with each other by growling with a very low voice because it’s almost indistinguishable from regular walker groans.

Gabriel

you guys should do all seasons and characters tier list once youre done with the show!

jeendus

To be fair Rob, there have been instances of more advanced walkers in this show as far back as season one. Remember when Rick and Morgan first met, and we see Morgan's walker wife walk up to the door? She ends up turning the door handle to try and get in. Or the little walker girl that we see Rick shoot at the very start of the first season, who knelt down and picked up a toy bunny? Or the walker that climbed over the fence in season 1 episode 3 when Rick and Glenn were running away after the walker guts washed off their disguise? (Other walkers were also attempting to climb, though less successfully). Or the walker in season 1 episode 2 when Rick finds the Atlanta Group trapped in a shop, we see one walker banging a large rock against the glass, attempting to break it. All of these instances give plausibility that while perhaps the walkers aren't necessarily evolving, there have always been more advanced walkers roaming around, and perhaps they chose this season to highlight them more?

connie

Great reaction as always this episode was awesome and the walkers being a main focus again I love it Keep it up Rob and Trin!!

Brandon

Henry became one of my favorite characters in TWD he filled that missing gap after the death of Carl

SlipS_Tiger

This was a big episode. One I've been waiting for since season 1. I was actually kind of excited for "smart" walkers. I remembered season 1 where we saw a few of them picking up rocks to break through glass. Or just sitting on a bus. I thought maybe they were finally going to do something with that rather than it just being the director not being sure what he wanted the walkers to be early in the series. My head cannon for it was walkers are "more intelligent" shortly after they turn because their brains haven't rotted much and they're not malnourished. Maybe that's a good explanation for it. It maybe it's not 😊

Reverend Jim Jones

This is one of my favourite episodes because it really brought the horror back to the show. The fact walkers are a threat again, reminds me of the early episodes. I can’t wait for the rest as this is my personal favourite story arc in the entire show. It seems like you’re enjoying it too.

Brad Tyler

Ever since you started this reaction from the beginning we were always waiting for you guys to get to this episode there are more to come I can't wait the hype is real RIP to Jesus he would have survived if only a knew they were not walker 🧟s but people so much that happened in this episode what great reaction guys

Mackendie

Great episode! It's actually kinda sad but this was the first time we got a 1 on 1 scene with Michonne & Carol. It took 9 seasons for them to have a scene with just the two of them. They've both responded to each other in group conversations but we never got 1 on 1 scenes with them. Loved it though, the two amazing actresses and characters deserve more time on screen together 🔥 (Tomaj)

Big Bro & Lil Sis Reacts

I'll wait again before saying more, but RIP Jesus (Paul). I gotta say, tho, the way that "walkie talkie" moved, then stabbed Jesus was one of the more shocking moments I've seen in a long time.

angie808

I love the reaction lol. When you guys get the chance at some point down the line, I suggest reacting to the Netflix original series "Beef" starring Steven Yeun (who played Glenn on TWD) and Ali Wong, who is a great standup and writer as well.

the continent

Shits getting SPOOKY

james moore

And you have finally been introduced to the most dangerous group none to man

Dk gray

That dodge will forever be iconic! Such an amazing introducing to the new enemy, can´t wait!

Bassorelli Chiara

Do not spoil, instead delete this comment

Handsome_Man

I want ya to realize this group killing Jesus who is one of our best fighters for the them to kill him with ease shows how dangerous they are

Blacck Velvet

It’s been a while since we’ve seen walkers being anything but stupid & slow, but we’ve certainly seen it back during Seasons 1-3 with them turning doorknobs of familiar places, using bricks to smash windows, jogging/running after Rick/Glenn & Otis/Shane but yeah them starting to SPEAK seems a bit too far fetched for most people lol I agree

Jack's World

Yesss, I've been waiting on this storyline! It's like Rob always says, if you can learn to control the walkers, you're unstoppable. Like others said, they're people among walkers whispering to eachother to communciate and steer the herd

Chris Reed

Jakestheman

That’s crazy right? I feel like they started a month ago 😂

Kamanda Hickey

I guess that’s a “No” on Bible 2 eh?

Handsome_Man

Or Humans In Walker Masks

Anthony Tucceri

Can''t Believe Rob And Trin Made It This Far Already Like 54 Episodes Left Or So

Anthony Tucceri

Sucked Losing Jesus This Way. Also When We First Got Here I Was Like No Way There Evolving 10 Or 11 Years Into The Appocolypse. End Of The Day Though They Are Humans In Walker Masks.

Anthony Tucceri

No out of show contract / actor decision spoilers, they don't want to know if a major event like this episode wasn't intended by the writers and is not there to serve the story but something they had to fudge due to out of show reasons. we've repeated it in what feels like literally every TWD comment section for months. Two this week. This is why R+T can hardly ever respond themselves, since they are the only ones who can moderate comments and risk being spoilt we have to tell them to avoid if there's stuff they don't want to see, and it seems to happen every TWD episode these days.

lemmy

People who have read the Comics already knew but I had no idea so it was such a surprise.

Kamanda Hickey

I never thought that they talked to the walkers but more to each other in a way that is not to disturbing to the walkers to get that they are human.

Kamanda Hickey

I loved Jesus character but I have to say he has the most badass death in TWD.

Kamanda Hickey

For the first time in many seasons, TWD got scary again! The whole cemetery scene is spooky (and i believe they used an indoor set to bring it to life which is awesome). Jesus is such a good warrior, but there's no way he could predict that a "walker" would dodge his move like that! Absolutely did not see that coming.

Joshua Markham

Yeah but that really was before the show figured out how they wanted to make the walkers.

Angelina Sargent

Tom Payne (now aka: jesus mamoa...) became the sexiest man in the show with his fighting skills and then killed like 20 seconds later. Uhhh I loved that man. This is one of my favorite episodes for sure. They did so good introducing the new threat this season.

Angelina Sargent

Yeah I was gonna say this too. I didn't remember why Tom Payne asked to leave but I remember seeing that he requested to be killed off in a bad ass way. Lol definitely fulfilled. Hahaha

Angelina Sargent

Ryan Robert Walker

They're not necessarily talking TO the walkers, but directing them with their whispers. Regular walkers move with herd mentality, much like other animals. So the humans wearing walker masks intersperse themselves within a walker herd and steer them. It's what you've said, Rob: amassed walkers are the biggest weapon when humans know how to control them. Yay for horror coming back into the show this season! "Negan is too rich of a character to keep in the cell." 100% correct!

Karen Shih

Anna Lorentzen

Seriously it's so refreshing to watch someone who has absolutely zero knowledge of what's coming, I just realised it's the first time I watch reactions where it's the case (took me long enough). And I know now why we shouldn't tell anything even about our appreciation and expectations of the future seasons or hints etc I know I kinda did that sometimes since the start, so thanks to the people who warned me at times (and sorry for being annoying), I understand now 😇

roncelune

Definitely in my Top 5. The horror aspect of it and that death 🔥🔥🔥🔥

PVaughn

In episode 1 you saw a walker try to open a door (Morgan's wife).. And another one pick up a doll (the little girl walker)... Don't forget that.. Just saying this because of Rob's comments in the intro Also Jesus got stabbed all through his body.. That sword went from his lower back and literally came out of his chest.. But you can barely see it cuz of the lighting

Amin Kaza

Just wait for Easter.

k4rizz4

This episode is hands down in my Top 5 best episodes. I remember how i felt back then when i was watching it... scare factor 10/10....scenery 10/10....music 10/10. Only thing that was holding back this episode was hiltop and Henry stuff. I can rewatch this episode 1000 times and it never disappoints. This was the Walking Dead we were missing through All out war with Negan and others

23p23 41

This episode felt more like a horror movie than an episode of The Walking Dead, but it was a good episode. I was annoyed that Jesus died but not upset tbh

Dahrk Angel

I love the twist that humans are wearing walker masks because it combines the threat of humans with the threat of walkers. Walkers haven't been much of a threat since the early seasons and this brings them back. This season is so good.

Kallie Pampuch

Aaron & Jesus were a thing in the comics, it would've been cool to see on the show

Gelato

Happy we've reached this episode!!

Saidi Louise

I love this season! This episode gutted me.

Susan Sitzmann

I literally just finished the last episode, this is a perfect treat for my 4-hour trip. I remember the chills in the closing minutes, long live our ninja ✊🏼

Jose Zamora Orellana

Yay!!

Christina Myers

What an episode!

Lui
