World cup style polls in the future (after 80's)

How many of you would prefer the TOP 4 of each poll being moved into a final poll to fight it out? We think the movies that win would be the same but am going to leave it up to you all 🥰 *The 80's poll will stay the same for fairness*

Even if a film wins that I'm not particularly fond of, Rob & Trin make it super enjoyable, and bring new perspectives that I wouldn't have otherwise considered.

I'm fine either way though :) The polls are helping me create a great re-watch list for myself out of the ones that aren't selected.

I always feel a bit miffed on your behalf when I see people complaining about the way things are done or complaining about whether a movie falls more into one category or the other. I'm just happy to watch along and discover movies along the way :)

2023-04-27 20:46:48 +0000 UTCI think it would be better to have genres with individual polls instead of one big poll, then you can still guarantee different genres with the most popular in each. The current one is really mixed. People looking for a sci-fi or a horror or a comedy might miss out cos the other genres are more popular and dominate it. You also seem to like Sci-Fi/Fantasy as a genre so having a particular recommendation for that might be more enjoyable for you too, while still having other types. Might even be an idea to have a livestream where you can hold a live poll too so people know right away what's coming up although that might clash with people's schedules.
