I agree and am enjoying the conversation. Remember, I am responding as someone who adapted Sith Philosophy in their daily life. Now only if I can find an Apprentice.

Homelander is a person who doesn't see good from evil. He isn't thin skinned, he is mentally ill. Soldier Boy suffers from PTSD. He get triggered as he did when heard the Russian music. He had no plan to kill or injur everyone, he just wanted the Twins.

So you might have forgot about what happened to Maeve because what you said about her last being seen with Butcher and how Homelander threatened her. At the end of that scene Black Noir threw a bag over her head and she was kidnapped. That's why they're trying to spit it as she's in rehab when she really is MIA. And regarding the MM backstory, I personally don't think an actual flashback of that horrible event is necessary to believe him and know that his child mind didn't fabricate any of it. It's not like MM mistook another Supe for Soldier Boy or he missed out on some of the details over a car being thrown into his home. Soldier Boy can say it was an accident but you can't throw a car into building and act surprised that there were people inside that was harmed by it, especially if it's clearly a residential area. Maybe he doesn't mean to do the damage he does but most of the time Homelander doesn't either. He just doesn't care, and clearly hasn't learned any lesson since his outbursts continue to kill innocent people with him not batting an eye over it. I think you should trust MM's backstory (especially since he was alluding to it when he opened up about his dad last season) without seeing the actual horror of that flashback and not give Soldier Boy the benefit of the doubt. But that's just my opinion on this story, great reaction as always!

It was MM's grandfather who Soldier Boy killed, his dad died after years of stress and trying to get revenge on Vought. MM talked about it last season saying that he doesn't want the same outcome for him and his daughter being left with that grief and vengeance he took on from his own dad. And frankly, accident or not, what rational approach to a couple of kids trying to steal a car is to hurl it through somebody's home? Nobody can make the argument that Solider Boy didn't know that he was endangering a potential family living in the house/apartment building in a residential area. Even if he didn't know or didn't think about it, he should have known better and he clearly doesn't care. His response to MM confronting him about killing his family about "which one?" is proof of just how indifferent he is to the destruction he causes. He can say he didn't mean it and try to paint himself out to be the good guy all he wants, Homelander does the same thing. They're both awful, the only real difference is that Homelander's petty narcissism and cruelty to others is how bullies like him feel good about themselves. Soldier Boy's not thin skinned and fragile and emotional as Homelander but just as reckless.

I think it's important to show that Homelander is truly the strongest being in the world. As the overarching villian of the entire show, we need to feel the stakes, that he would be really, nearly impossible to kill. The three of them together, getting slightly close is already a huge deal.

LMAO Herogasm ! Finally ! Good luck getting ANY of this on YouTube :D A lot of the comic book fans were really keen on seeing what they did with this story, apparently it's way wilder in the book

I as someone who identifies as Sith, I have to disagree with the premise of having a fair fight with Homelander. He is not a fair fighter himself. We have seen the atrocities he has committed against innocent people. Don't get me wrong I love a good villain, but Homelander doesn't fit that mold. He is a sociopath and a narcissist. Soldier Boy, seems to be triggered by events and losses control, and when the fight is over he has things he can't remember or recall. I don't think MM, has the right perspective on his father's death, Soldier Boy killed his dad by accident, he didn't seek out MM's dad. Huey and Billy have real reasons to kill Homelander. If a villain takes a life, it has to serve a legitimate purpose in my book. Question, where is Homelander's son? Have we lost sight of that? I sense a disturbance in the Force.
