I also loved Parasite and #Alive amongst many many others and obviously Squid game's a no brainer of course seeing as you dont seem to mind the subtitles 😊💕

If you find time try some more movies: The Man from Nowhere 2010 (another one with a great child actor), Parasite 2019 (which won a couple of Oscars), Memories of Murder 2003, Deliver Us From Evil 2020, Intimate Strangers 2018 (different genre because it's a drama with comedic elements) etc.

I miss the subtitles of text I can't read, because I'm looking at what the character is looking at. So I end up having to "rewind" to see what I missed. Good thing you have Trin. The song Su-an sang, "Aloha O'e" (Farewell to Thee) is a song that was written by our Queen, when she was Princess. Still sung today at Hawaiian funerals, or deep and heart-felt good-bye moments. The conductor needs a lot of praise. There were a lot of heroes in this story, but his was subtle & unexpected. An ending that still makes me weep. Fantastic movie, and so glad it got chosen. Also glad you liked it. Edited after watching your ending comment: I agree, Hollywood would ruin this movie if they tried to remake it, as they always do when they try to remake foreign films.

2023-02-27 02:44:39 +0000 UTCThe ending song part is so good because she is singing it to her dad as a goodbye but she also was singing it to him because he told her in the car that she must always finish what she starts so she ended up doing it so she can finish what she started and her doing what he said ended up saving all three of their lives. So very sweet. I love the fact that they used break dancers to play the part of zombies because it is so much more terrifying to see them move the way they do. All those times where they are piling onto one another is so insane to see.

I wouldn't know where to begin watching Asian films not even French or otherwise non-English films. The only thing I watch is Japanese Anime. Attack on Titan would be a great show as it is dubbed in English. Also, Cowboy Bebop..now that is a classic!

There are so many amazing movies to watch (and TV shows). I actually love the sequel, it’s just a very different film and I love revisiting the world created here and having a very different adventure in it. There’s a huge list of incredible movies and TV shows to enjoy. I hope you do more.
