Rick does not sleep with multiple women; he does not burn people's faces off when he's "disobeyed"; he does not bash people's heads in to instill a sense of power. There's more & you know there's more. If you like Negan, that's fine. Sometimes, like in this episode, he makes me lol, but I will never forget what he did, and why he did it.

I'm kind of getting the 'using a child as a shield' vibe from him.

People mistake that she says she wants to be there, and that she loves him because she does. She doesn't. She is saying what he wants to hear; what he expects her to say; whats she's been trained to say. Otherwise, her family will be given nothing to eat, and will work at the lowest levels at the Sanctuary. It's funny how people still think that she literally meant what she said to Negan. LOL! Everybody hated Gabriel, at first. You guys are not alone on that. Negan to Carl. "No one is going to mess with you looking like that." But, um, you just did, MF. So, yah, it was just another form of control. Makes me think, what kind of shithead coach was he, anyway? (btw, too bad you were spoiled on that, but it's a small one, compared to the others you've been spoiled on) I really do hate Negan, but JDM is fantastic. That "Really?", gets me too. Can't help it. lol And I never thought that Judith was in danger with him, to tell the truth, but I did not like him putting his psycho hands on her.
