2023-01-24 06:43:04 +0000 UTCI know some people don't enjoy this Thor movie as much, but I always loved the intro of his character and his major flaws, plus Loki of course. And as for your question on why Loki would want to destroy Jotunheim - imagine growing up perpetually hearing how the frost giants are monsters and how the glorious Asgardians conquered them. As Loki said 'I am the monster that parents warn their children about at night?' He has complete inner hatred of what he is, playing into years of also feeling inferior to Thor and suddenly finding out the reason why (or so he thinks). And Odin played into that by raising his sons to hate the frost giants. We even saw how much Thor wanted to destroy them at the start of the movie. It's the tragedy of Loki really - he thinks by destroying them (and that part of himself), that he will be loved.
