The Walking Dead: S6E13 The Same Boat - First time watching!

My heart broke for Carol and Maggie in this one, but mostly Carol. When Darryl asked her if she was ok her response and him hugging her was so emotional. Carol went from abused wife, to widow, to losing her child, to group mother hen who did whatever was necessary to protect her family. Her character arch is one of my top 2 of all the characters. Can't mention the other one because their arch comes full circle in the end of season 11. I too liked Paula. She was just trying to survive like everyone else. Great episode!!

Another thing about the saviours enslaving Hilltop is that we know Hilltop was OPEN to trade. Jesus implies to Maggie he's already trading with other groups. The Saviours didn't need to enslave them for food, Jesus would have been willing to make a civil deal with them. They just wanted control imo.

One of my favorite parts of this episode is also one of my all time favorite Carol quotes .........."You don't want me to stick to my own principles ". No. They don't lol.

When I first saw the episode I also thought that Carol was faking it. I thought that she was trying to get into their heads and that she wanted to make sure they knew that Maggie was pregnant to try to appeal to their hearts if that were possible. But I thought she was thinking too until she hyperventilated so much that she had tears running down her face. Then I realized that no she was notonly not faking but she was breaking.

Rob, I am SO glad you talked about the differences between Rick's group and the Saviors in the outro, because during the episode you said there was NO difference in the 2 groups and I was about to be like, "Hold up a sec, what?" So yeah, there's definitely big differences and you pointed them out...Rick would NEVER go around to different communities and bully, threaten, intimidate, steal and kill. I know it seems harsh what they did, but I will always feel that it was justified.

Can’t believe he thought Carol was faking

I love carol, her and Daryl came from similar sad stories or abuse and neglect, they found each other and rely on each other and both have grown so much, I feel for carol so much
