Regarding Stranger Things - Extra credit scene!

WOULD IT BE BEST TO SKIP THE POST CREDIT SCENE ON THE FINAL EPISODE OF SEASON 3?

It has been pointed out that the teaser at the end of season 3 could be a spoiler for someone like us watching season 4 so close to the end.

Comments

Yeah I think it should be watched after episode 2 maybe.

I saw that post-credits scene. Watching S4 it was like: Joyce gets that doll in ep 1, no mystery, 'oh well that's how she'll find out hopper is alive I guess' then she reads the letter 'yup its genuine, the russians have him, and a demogorgen, I know this because teaser'. The opening ep of S4 plot is made as if we don't know hopper is alive, makes it a mystery of the first ep, but we do know, the narrative of the show doesn't even acknowledge that we've seen that post credits scene.

ok told R+T not to read the comments in ehre since its already done and its posted, so we can be a bit more explicit. People would rather that R+T had a very very strong indication that Hopper is still alive, in the very same episode that he's supposed to have died in, rather than feel that joy and relief at the same time as Joyce finds out in the story itself? And anyone believe that that wasn't put in purely to stop Hopper fans been like 'oh well am done with Stranger Things now, am unlikely to tune in next season' and the idea of spoiling him not being dead was deemed less important than the risk of losing people watching for Hopper as viewers? Seeing some russian talk and subtitles say 'not the american' is worth more than the surprise of Joyce reading that letter? as a viewer of a reactor you'd prefer that to be the thing they first react to, and not even have a week of believing he's dead and come into the next episode thinking that's the case? Honestly can't wrap my head around it. tbh :(
