2022-07-16 17:53:14 +0000 UTCDeadwood and Bates Motel have my vote, but Deadwood definitely! The dialogue in that show is pure poetry. I'd rank it among the best written shows in TV history. Cut short because of the hefty production value back then, but it still worked fine as it was left, I thought, though the film did wrap up a few things well 👌

Its extremely well written and acted, but you may have issues editing due to insane amounts of "profanity" and a touch of nudity as one of the primary locations of the show is a saloon/brothel. Imagine Shakespeare crossed with layers 1800s london east end but set in a utterly lawless frontier overran with gold.
