2024-01-27 01:18:02 +0000 UTC100% agree! I'm trying something new watching Lost for the 1st time WITH Tob/Trin reacting and I kinda love it. I always describe lwhen asked why I ove watching reactions as "getting to enjoy my favorite shows with a sort of friend". Most my friends don't love TWD, Person of Interest, Sons, BB and BCS...or even gave them a watch even once; so I get to have the closest thing to a "friendly discussion" as I'll get. Experiencing LOST for the 1st time w/Rob is fun. 🥰 I got that dreaded Google playback error and "had to" 😉 keep watching w/o them and didn't get as much out of those episodes. Yah know.

2021-10-14 13:28:56 +0000 UTC"Why reactions are popular" - bang on - It's that desire to see a show again for the first time, living vicariously through someone else's first experience, if they are the sort of person you enjoy and like and therefore get to feel the emotion of a show, I actually enjoy that experience more than watching something for the first time, it turns out. We only have a certain amount of friends and potentially a partner to experience that through, and once its run out its like that getting to experience a show as if its the first time is lost forever. When I discovered reaction channels it's like suddenly you have a vast well of potential friends to sit back and rewatch your favourite shows with, which is why the personalities of the reactors is so important. I'm glad it's took off the way it has, it used to be my 'dirty secret' that I binged this kind of content as it seems kind of weird to an outsider, but now both my closest friends have gotten on the reaction wagon lol.
