Long story short, that means you're gonna be charged a little more, so i have to pay a bit less on every fee.

I don't feel 100% comfortable with that change, because one of the reasons i get rid of the 15$ tier, was because many people doesn't have the funds to pledge more. or are pledging to many other campaigns at once.

Right now i'm questioning myself if i have to lower the 5$ tier, to keep my audience support, I need your feedback.

The problem is that that flat-fee portion of the charge means that smaller donations give a greater percentage of money to Patreon and a smaller percentage to the creator. They are, in essense, punishing the $1 pledges, and even making it more uncomfortable for the $5 pledges.

you make the best stuff stuntman

i'll support as long as i'm able

I'll continue my support, even though I have 12 creators who I give to, because I love the works. Y'all are likeπŸŽ…. Andrew

I'm proud to support you stuntman. I'll support you for as long as I can. Keep up the good work 😊

*starting december 18th, creators still won't be taking home 95%, you know, when we don't account for that 2.9% and that 0.35 processing fee.* It's like they didn't hear about EA getting shot in the foot.

Shelved Oddities

Yes, because it looks like Patreon it's not willing to take any lost of this situation.

This is gonna put a lot of pressure to many creators, and that can start the creation of a lot of crappy content, because looks like the target is gonna be getting something quick, instead of giving something good.

Stuntman Shocking Lopez

No problem

Stuntman Shocking Lopez

Yes, I do not know why patreon thinks we all are "money trees", there's so many people i can't support right now, imagine when the extra charges starts

Stuntman Shocking Lopez

Thanks!, these days everyone is so stressed, i'm glad to know i give some "relief".

Stuntman Shocking Lopez

Thanks, But also that mean i have now more pressure, if people think im not active enough, they just gonna leave.

Stuntman Shocking Lopez

Just to make it clear, it's NOT ME who increase the charges, it's Patreon.

Stuntman Shocking Lopez

The whole thing sounds to me like, their giving up on Net Neutrality in general and, making an excuse to charge the doners for a little extra money for themselves...

This should be intresting, the pessimist in me suspects this is the first of many changes to turn patreon into as much of a scam as most charities. ( 60%+ processesing fees ) This is definetly going to make me drop a few people I support who dont update regularly enough.

Thanks for the information

60% of my patreons can keep all the money I give them. You're in that 60%. But I have so many people I want to contribute to so I'm planning on dropping some that haven't really been on my favorites list and just do rotational patreons for that 40%.

If i like a artist a small change in the amount of money doesn't bother me at all. I will continue to be a patreon. I very much understand the concern it has when raising prices but i think you should be fine. In my own personal opinion i think you charge to little for the amount of times you post and quality of "art".

For people like me that support a bunch of creators, it means that I will likely need to cut some pledges. Luckily, you are active enough that I will continue to support you, but it does kind of suck.

Mimikyubey

I'm here to help an artist I like so as as long an what you charge isn't crazy, I'm more than willing to help, so I'm ok with you charging a little more. =)
