Chapter 113: Farewell to Korin

Remember during the Namek Saga, Dr. Brief only took a short amount of time to modify a large spaceship for Goku, and even installed a gravity device on it.
His level of genius is simply unbelievable!
There’s also Dr. Gero, who secluded himself on an isolated island and spent decades researching the time machine. These talents, however, have their own ideals and are unlikely to work for Xavier.
But it doesn’t matter if they won’t work for him. Xavier can change his strategy. If he lets Dokra and those Fidaian scientists interact with Bulma’s father or Dr. Gero, they might have unexpected gains!
Shaking his head to dispel these thoughts, Xavier’s gaze swept around the room again. He saw Gohan placing the food on the ground onto the dining table one by one, and soon the small square table was piled high with food like a mountain.
Seeing the table full of food and the rich aroma of meat wafting through the air, Goku’s eyes suddenly lit up. After getting Gohan's permission, he pounced on the food like he hadn’t eaten in days, devouring it heartily.
After eating for a while, he raised his head in confusion: "Grandpa, why aren't you eating?"
"Goku, you go ahead and eat."
Goku innocently responded with an “oh” and continued to eat, the food on the table decreasing at a visible rate.
Gohan watched kindly, laughing heartily, “When I picked Goku up from the mountains a year ago, he was very wild. Later, he accidentally fell off a cliff and hit his head, and his temperament became gentle all of a sudden.”
“But I never expected his appetite to be so huge.” Raising such an insatiable child had already put a lot of pressure on Gohan.
Of course, Saiyans have huge appetites, Xavier thought with an inward smile.
Goku’s luck was quite good; the Galactic Patrol had specifically sent Jaco to kill him. However, after Jaco arrived on Earth, for various reasons, he missed Goku's spaceship, allowing Goku to survive by sheer luck.
Without revealing his thoughts, Xavier said, “A pure heart is good. Martial artists achieve greater heights with a clear mind.”
It was because of this pure heart that Goku repeatedly broke through his physical limits.
Gohan looked at him in surprise and asked, “Are you also a martial artist, young friend?”
“Just some showy moves!” Xavier replied modestly.
Gohan nodded at his words. Earth had a long history of martial arts, though few people truly achieved greatness. Many martial arts schools had been passed down. Gohan himself was a martial artist taught by Master Roshi, so he was only slightly surprised.
Having returned the Four-Star Ball to Gohan, Xavier didn’t want to disturb them any further. As he was leaving, he patted Goku on the head and said, “Goku, follow your grandpa’s teachings well. One day, you’ll become an outstanding martial artist.”
“Mm-hmm!” Goku nodded his head, laughing naively.
“Goku’s identity is quite special. During the full moon, don’t let him see the moon, or there will be unforeseen consequences.” At the doorway, Xavier gave a final piece of advice, repaying Gohan for lending him the Dragon Ball.
"..." Gohan didn't understand what Xavier meant. But seeing that Xavier had no ill intentions, he nodded in agreement.
Knowing that Gohan didn't grasp his warning, Xavier didn't mind. He had done his part by mentioning it once; whether Gohan could avoid the impending danger wasn't his concern. He didn't even care if Goku could achieve the same glory as in the original story. After all, the path one walks is one's own choice—one moment in heaven, one moment in hell. Those destined for success will always have the ability to achieve it, regardless of their circumstances.
If a different environment could prevent someone from succeeding, it would only mean that their previous success was merely a coincidence. Of course, coincidences are a form of strength in their own right.
After leaving Mount Paozu, Xavier didn't head straight to West City. Instead, he stopped by a nearby small town.
He extorted some currency from the local thugs, bought various fresh fish from the seafood market, and then packed them into his dimensional space. Xavier then headed towards the Sacred Land of Korin.
The Sacred Land, Korin.
Amidst a vast, lush forest, an ivory-colored, ancient tower rose into the sky, piercing through the clouds.
"No matter how many times I see Korin Tower, it always seems unbelievable," Xavier remarked, gazing at the slender structure enveloped in layers of mist. Then, with a sudden burst of speed, he shot up into the sky, creating a strong shockwave and quickly disappearing into the white clouds.
As he ascended, a small black dot appeared in his field of vision—the top of Korin Tower with its flat, spherical building. With a swift movement, Xavier stopped abruptly at the same height as the tower's top and then smoothly glided in, stepping into Korin Tower.
Inside Korin Tower, Korin the cat hermit was comfortably napping on a lounge chair, completely unaware of Xavier's arrival.
After patting Korin a few times, the cat hermit twisted and turned, waking up. Seeing the unexpected visitor, Korin blinked in surprise before recognizing him.
"Hey, isn't this Xavier? When did you come to Earth?"
It had been nearly seven years since their last meeting, and Korin was astonished to see Xavier again. Immediately, Korin noticed that Xavier had become even more unfathomable; his current strength was beyond Korin's ability to gauge.
However, the friendship they had established years ago reassured Korin that Xavier posed no threat to Earth.
"Hahaha, Korin, you wouldn't know, but I came to Earth three years ago. I just didn't visit you then. This time, besides coming to see you, I'm here to return the Dragon Balls I borrowed!"
Xavier said, looking at Korin.
"You were the one who gathered all seven Dragon Balls three years ago?" Korin quickly connected the dots, remembering the appearance of Shenron back then, and asked in surprise.
"It was indeed me," Xavier admitted openly, seeing no reason to hide it.
Leaning on his staff, Korin took a few steps forward, stroking his whiskers. "I always wondered who was powerful enough to collect all seven Dragon Balls. Hehe, after all, it's been over a hundred years since the last wish was made."
come just to see me, did you?" Korin squinted his eyes.
It's no wonder people say those with squinted eyes are never simple characters—even a cat shouldn't be underestimated! Xavier cleared his throat and said, "Indeed, I came to check on the status of the Senzu Beans."
"Hold on, just to be clear, I don't have many Senzu Beans left!" Korin quickly interrupted when he heard Xavier mention Senzu Beans. Over the past few years, despite his meticulous efforts, he hadn't managed to grow many, and he couldn't afford to let Xavier take them.
Xavier couldn't help but laugh, "Korin, I'm not here to take your Senzu Beans. I still have plenty from the last time you gave me!"
He truly wasn't lacking in Senzu Beans.
When he first got over seventy thousand Senzu Beans from Korin, Xavier had carefully stored them. Aside from the few he had given to Celine, Adriel, and others, and the small amount consumed during training over the years, he still had over sixty thousand in his dimensional space.
However, who would ever think they had too many of these miraculous beans, capable of healing and saving lives at critical moments?
Despite the low yield of Senzu Beans, even with Korin’s increased efforts in cultivation after Xavier's advice, it was unlikely much had been harvested in just a few short years. Therefore, Xavier didn’t expect to get more Senzu Beans from Korin.
