Chapter 89: Landing on Red Mountain Planet

The sky above Red Mountain Planet was clear, dotted with clouds that drifted lazily in the high expanse. Ever since over ten thousand Saiyans had relocated from Planet Vegeta, pioneers like Sadie had been riding a wave of high spirits, diligently escorting each wounded warrior into the healing chambers.

Five days later, most Saiyans had emerged from recovery. They greeted the rising sun, its warm rays casting a glow on these newly rejuvenated warriors, making them feel reborn.

With the arrival of these Saiyans from Planet Vegeta, the settlement on Red Mountain Planet had grown significantly, marking it as the sole sanctuary for Saiyans in the universe.

The newcomers were first introduced to the planet’s vibrant atmosphere of construction and renewal. They discovered a world ripe for development beyond the central hub that was already taking shape. It wouldn’t be long before massive cities would rise from the ground.

In the training zone, Sadie was busy guiding the new arrivals through the array of high-tech training equipment, a task he had been performing regularly these past days.

Groups ranged from as many as sixty to as few as twenty, and Sadie tirelessly explained everything about Red Mountain Planet, from the provisional governance structures set by Xavier and Adriel, which helped them assimilate into this new world, to the various state-of-the-art training devices.

“This is a basic gravity chamber,” Fidaya person Ero said, standing before a massive structure. “It's three hundred fifty meters in diameter and two hundred twenty meters tall, capable of adjusting up to 20 times standard gravity, accommodating fifty individuals at a time.”

Gravity chambers were categorized by their complexity and function into basic, intermediate, and advanced levels. The basic chambers, most numerous throughout the training area, could reach up to 20 times the force of gravity—adequate for the majority of Saiyans who were still at an introductory phase of their training.

There were also intermediate and advanced gravity chambers available, offering up to 100 and 300 times the force of gravity, respectively. The very highest-grade chambers, like the one Xavier had used, could withstand up to 500 times normal gravity. These were intricate in design and high in energy consumption, not yet widespread at this stage of development.

“Can these gravity chambers really enhance our combat abilities?” some of the Saiyans inquired curiously, their eyes sparkling with a mix of wonder and anticipation as they gazed at the gleaming machinery.

“Of course, they can. Haven’t you noticed an increase in your own power since arriving here on Red Mountain Planet?” responded another Saiyan, stepping forward before Ero could answer, fresh from training in one of the chambers.

Because the gravity chamber can alter gravity levels, those Saiyans who enter experience multiple times the gravitational force of the outside world. In response to this heightened gravity, their bodies undergo stress-induced adaptations, and by gradually increasing the gravity multiplier, their combat capabilities correspondingly grow.

This principle similarly applies to the inherent gravitational force of Red Mountain Planet itself, which possesses 12 times the gravity of Planet Vegeta, making it a superior environment for enhancing Saiyan combat abilities through prolonged exposure.

The questioning Saiyans fell silent, perhaps not yet fully aware of their own power increases due to their short time on Red Mountain Planet. Reluctant to admit "I haven’t noticed an increase in my power," they chose instead to remain quiet.

However, testimonials from those who had used the gravity chamber eliminated any remaining doubts about its effectiveness. There was a sense of wonder among them, lamenting that such an incredible tool for enhancing their strength had not been discovered sooner.

Seeing their captivated expressions, Sadie waved his hand and declared with a hearty laugh, “Why not experience it for yourselves?”

He led the group into the gravity chamber. The basic chamber was vast, resembling a large gymnasium designed for group training, with plenty of room even after they all entered.

"Let's start with 16 times the gravity," Sadie suggested with a smile.

Ero nodded, then headed to the control room to set the gravity to 16 times standard. As the chamber's engines hummed to life, there was initially no noticeable change—just the sound of the machinery.

But just when everyone was starting to relax, it felt as if a switch had been flipped. A powerful gravitational force suddenly bore down on them. It was as if invisible chains were pulling on every limb, every organ, and every cell, subjecting them to an intense gravitational force.

The Saiyans in the gravity chamber all bent over, struggling against the increased gravity that now burdened every cell of their bodies.

"How about that... the feeling of this gravity chamber... pretty intense, isn't it?" Sadie managed to say, his words coming out in bursts. He normally trained at 15 times gravity, and the jump to 16 times was proving to be a challenge even for him.

Every person has a limit, much like the final straw that breaks the camel’s back. Even someone who can lift 120 kilograms may find just one more kilogram too much to bear.

As newcomers, most of the Saiyans possessed excellent potential, and their strength was somewhat greater than Sadie's, but the sudden immersion in intense gravity meant their bodies couldn't instantly adapt. Droplets of sweat glistened on their cheeks as their energy rapidly drained.

One minute later, when the gravity was switched off, they slumped to the ground, panting deeply.

"This is incredible... I feel as though I've just been through an intense battle."

"Training in this environment will definitely enhance our strength significantly..."

"Yes, the gravity on Planet Vegeta was already stronger than that of many other planets, which contributed to our robust physiques. Now, with these gravity chambers, we can enhance our strength even more conveniently!"

Chosen by Xavier and Adriel for their rational thinking and robust physiques, these individuals were also seasoned warriors, veterans of many battles.

Their eyes sparkled with eagerness as they looked toward the gravity chamber, like someone reuniting with a long-lost love, their gazes burning with passion.

At that moment, a message came through on the communicator. Fidaya person Ero received it and approached Sadie and the others: "Everyone, we've just received a message from the communications center. Lord Xavier and Mr. Adriel have returned. Please gather at the open square on the west side of the city immediately."

"Lord Xavier and Mr. Adriel are back?" The crowd showed a mix of expressions. Sadie and his group displayed surprise and delight at the news of their return. The Saiyans from Planet Vegeta exchanged glances, filled with curiosity and anticipation, as well as excitement and nervousness at the prospect of meeting the powerful leaders.

They were about to meet the legendary leader who had taken charge on Red Mountain Planet. Their emotions were complex; back on Planet Vegeta, they had followed the orders of King Vegeta, but here, their new leader was Xavier. This shift was difficult to process.

It was said that their lives had been saved by Xavier, who not only rescued them but also preserved the Saiyan lineage. Their feelings towards Xavier were mixed with gratitude and curiosity.

Being handpicked by Xavier meant they were more rational than other Saiyans. This was why Xavier had chosen them: to rebuild a Saiyan nation known for its quality and superior combat abilities, rather than one feared across the universe as barbaric.

"Lord Xavier has returned, all Saiyans please proceed immediately to the open square on the west side of the city!"

"Lord Xavier has returned, all Saiyans please proceed immediately to the open square on the west side of the city!"

The announcement echoed through streets and alleys. Whether they were at home or in training areas, all Saiyans, upon hearing the broadcast, ceased their activities and rushed towards the open square.

One by one, the Saiyans took to the skies, soon filling the air with a dense mass of figures speeding towards the horizon.

Under Ero's guidance, the new Saiyans headed toward the open square on the west side. Fortunately, the square was not far from the center of the city, and within minutes, like raindrops, the Saiyans descended upon the expansive marble-paved ground.

The square, hundreds of meters in length and width, quickly filled with bustling activity.

Aside from those still receiving treatment in the healing chambers, nearly all Saiyans on Red Mountain Planet had gathered here, whispering among themselves and looking expectantly toward the central platform, which stood several meters high.

Soon, a whirlwind descended unexpectedly, silencing the crowd. They watched quietly, knowing that their leader, Lord Xavier, would soon arrive.

True to their expectations, shortly after, figures descended from the sky. With their arrival, a series of formidable auras swept across the assembly like a tidal wave, the intense pressure radiating outward in all directions.

On the platform, leading the group was a young Saiyan dressed in a pristine white battle suit. Though young, he exuded the oppressive aura of a high-ranking leader. Xavier and Celine stood side by side, flanked by Adriel, Belruk, and Bardock. Behind them stood younger Saiyans like Merus and Shakda.

The assembly below fell silent, awed by the presence of the figures above. Even these experienced warriors were subdued by the aura emanating from the Saiyans on the platform.

Xavier looked over the crowd with a clear gaze, seeing the sea of heads below him stirred a sense of accomplishment within him. If nurtured properly, these Saiyans could form a formidable force.
