Chapter 66: The Dragon Balls
Added 2024-05-02 04:53:48 +0000 UTCTime surged forward rapidly, and two months had passed in the blink of an eye.
North Galaxy, Earth.
The weather was clear and the sunshine was radiant, the dawn's light painting the land in vibrant and beautiful hues, making everything appear wonderfully serene.
In the northern hemisphere, nestled within a continuous range of steep mountains, a figure suddenly moved through the woods with agility—now flashing into view, now vanishing, sometimes appearing directly ahead only to blink and reappear hundreds of meters away on another mountain.
"Paozu Mountain should be nearby," Xavier lifted his head to gaze at the towering peaks ahead, feeling a sense of tranquility in his heart.
The area was rugged and serene, with dense mountains surrounding a narrow trail leading deep into the wilderness. Due to its remote location, the area was seldom visited by people, gradually becoming a haven for wild animals.
Returning to Earth three years after the near destruction of Planet Vegeta, Xavier had his own objectives. Over the past two months, he had tirelessly traveled between Planet Vegeta and Planet Red Mountain, finally relocating over three thousand Saiyans to establish a preliminary settlement on Planet Red Mountain.
However, the Saiyan community on Planet Red Mountain was primarily composed of low-class warriors, with only a few high-class warriors like Adriel, making them considerably modest compared to the Saiyans of Planet Vegeta. Although this wouldn’t hinder the future development of the Planet Red Mountain Saiyans, the scarcity of high-class warriors meant a thin heritage, requiring more time to enhance the Saiyan bloodline.
The simplest method to elevate the Saiyan lineage would be to transfer high-class warriors from Planet Vegeta. However, the high-class warriors were sparse, and each one was a valuable asset to the Saiyans, their sudden disappearance likely to draw the attention of King Vegeta.
While Xavier could disregard King Vegeta's perspective, he had to consider the potential reactions from Frieza upon discovering such movements.
It was best to proceed with caution!
Xavier pondered and decided to focus on Earth's Dragon Balls. Utilizing the Dragon Balls to wish for the relocation of some Saiyans to Planet Red Mountain seemed a sound strategy.
Of course, Xavier wouldn’t transfer too many Saiyans; each selection would be carefully considered. Maintaining stability within the Saiyan community was crucial at this time, as a stable environment would allow the Saiyans to recuperate and return to their peak condition.
Yet, another problem arose—the current era was somewhat premature, the main story of the Dragon Balls had not yet begun, Bulma was still young, and thus the Dragon Radar did not yet exist.
Before collecting the seven Dragon Balls, Xavier needed to prepare the Dragon Radar. His first step was to acquire a Dragon Ball and have the Phydia people analyze its wavelength. Given their level of technology, they should be able to create a Dragon Radar fairly quickly.
Within the original story, only two Dragon Balls were known: one was the four-star ball found by Gohan in a valley, and the other was the two-star ball stored in Bulma's family warehouse.
……
In the dense primeval forest near Paozu Mountain, Xavier swiftly maneuvered through the brush, eventually standing on an exposed rock to survey his surroundings, quietly sensing the energies around him.
Suddenly, the rustling sounds of movement came from nearby. Packs of wolves and leopards lurked within the jungle, their fierce eyes intensely watching Xavier...
With a low growl echoing through the woods, startling a mass of birds into the sky, Xavier's eyes narrowed. His formidable aura burst forth like a dragon emerging from the sea, sweeping all directions. With a casual wave of his hand, a blast of energy rolled through the forest, toppling trees and sending the predators whimpering and scattering in fear.
After dispatching these minor threats, Xavier chuckled softly and continued towards the mountain.
Soon, he emerged from the woods onto a relatively flat hillside where a cobblestone path wound upwards along the slope.
At the foot of Paozu Mountain, a small house made of bricks and bluestone stood in the shade of nearby trees, exuding a distinctly Eastern charm.
"Ha ha, finally found it! Ah, the energy is nearby, heading this way. Maybe I'll just wait here," Xavier smiled, finally allowing a look of satisfaction to cross his face as he admired the tranquil and elegant surroundings. "Gohan sure picked a nice spot to live in."
Paozu Mountain, being remote and beautifully serene with air filled with refreshing fragrances, was a fitting retreat for someone like Gohan, who was not only the senior disciple of the martial arts sage Master Roshi but also an accomplished martial artist himself, naturally choosing a place conducive to cultivating both body and spirit.
"Eh, young man, what brings you to such a secluded place on your own?" an elderly voice sounded from behind, and turning around, Xavier saw an old man carrying a bundle of firewood coming down the mountain.
The elder, dressed in traditional attire with a ruddy complexion and a hat on his head, had white whiskers that gave him an almost ethereal, sage-like appearance.
"I am here searching for something known as a Dragon Ball. It's an orange crystal ball with red stars embedded in it. Have you, by any chance, seen such a thing?" Xavier inquired.
"A crystal ball with stars?" Gohan touched his forehead, pondering, then pulled out a crystal ball from his pocket. "Is it this?"
Inside the crystal ball, four red stars shone brightly—it was indeed the Four-Star Dragon Ball.
"Yes, that's exactly what I'm looking for. I wonder if you, sir, might lend me this Dragon Ball. I promise to return it once I'm done using it," Xavier asked earnestly, looking at the Four-Star Dragon Ball in Gohan's hands.
"So this is called a Dragon Ball? I found it in a valley a few years ago. If you need it, I'll give it to you," Gohan responded, handing over the Four-Star Ball.
"Thank you so much!" Xavier expressed his gratitude fervently as he took the Dragon Ball from Gohan.
The Dragon Balls on Earth, although crafted by Kami, actually bore the patent of the Dragon God Zalama, utilizing the principle of refraction which allowed the red stars inside to be visible from any angle.
"It's nothing, since you've come looking for it, you must need it..." Gohan said with a smile, clearly not overly concerned about parting with the Dragon Ball.
Xavier deeply respected Gohan's generous spirit; such was the heart of a true martial artist.
Having acquired the Four-Star Ball, Xavier did not wish to disturb Gohan's peace any longer. He quickly left Paozu Mountain and, using Instant Transmission from the foothills, arrived in the bustling metropolis of West City.
Although the main storyline was still over a decade away, West City, as one of Earth's foremost supercities, was already thriving impressively.
Speaking of West City, its most famous feature had to be the Capsule Corporation, an enterprise founded by Dr. Briefs that had risen to prominence in recent years. Within just a few years, the miraculous Capsule Technology had swept across the world. In West City, the Capsule Corporation and Dr. Briefs were household names.
After casually inquiring with a passerby, Xavier found Bulma's home.
He bypassed the guards of the luxurious villa and leaped into an old warehouse. After some searching inside, he uncovered another shimmering orange crystal ball. Counting the stars embedded within it, there were two stars—this was the Two-Star Dragon Ball.
Xavier took out the Four-Star Ball from his pocket and placed it alongside the Two-Star Ball. As if drawn by some mysterious force, both Dragon Balls began to emit a buzzing sound and flashed a golden glow intermittently.
With the second Dragon Ball in hand, a pleased smile spread across Xavier's face. With another flash of Instant Transmission, he left Earth.
On a spaceship of the Phydia people:
The spaceship was traveling at high speed through space, gradually approaching Planet Red Mountain. A streak of dazzling light shot through the void, and Xavier, having previously left a spatial mark inside the spaceship, managed to precisely find its location even while it was in motion.
"Lord Xavier!"
In the control hall, Dokra was directing the technicians in managing various parameters. Upon seeing Xavier appear, he immediately came forward to greet him.
Comments
Kami is going to freak that Xavier knows about the dragon balls. Also is sad to think his uncle thinks there would be a planet to come back to. Hopefully Xavier would save bardock at his last moments because he would be the closest to a natural Ssj
