Marlene wouldn't have let him get away even after she was shot and survived because Ellie is the only kid that is immune and could save the world. Marlene wasn't about to let that slide. also, Ellie and Joel have been together for almost a year.

2023-03-17 01:00:00 +0000 UTCI understand that joel didnt give her a choice, but marlene didnt either. ellie didnt know that she would have to die. even if thats exactly what ellie wanted, she still shouldve had a choice between the two. and i agree, what joel did was selfish..but i also understand why he did it. he lost his bio daughter, he cant lose another.
