I am so hyped for this entire season! also, re: Jack's daughter and grandson, think back to the episode where Gwen got married to Rhys. there was a scene near the end where Jack was looking at his wedding photo. it makes sense that after living as long as Jack has that he might have a family at some point. I also loved the family dynamics in this season; I feel that it allowed us to really get to know our main characters even more than we already do and I appreciated that. can't wait for more!

I remain hopeful though that when he gets the time/help or if he finishes something soonish (torchwood, community, etc) that we could maybe get 2. Just so it doesn't take him 4 years to get through just sg-1, lol.

2020-06-19 01:01:05 +0000 UTCI remember how epic it was to watch this first time in the UK! 5 episodes across 5 days I was so hyped. Glad you're going in cold, one thing about the production, it was during the gap year of 2009 so there wasn't a series of Doctor Who only David Tennant's last specials, which I think is why RTD was more hands on with this series than the first two of Torchwood, Chibnall was sort of the show runner for series 1 and series 2 (I think? not sure of their exact roles), it also moved from BBC3 (series 1) to BBC2 (series 2) and then to BBC1 (for this series, the main BBC channel, same as Doctor Who) so that might be why it seems to be a bit more big budgety and serious. It's such a good series, probably my favourite of Torchwood.
