Your face during all the scenes where everyone went in on Ryan were perfect.

Just caught up with your reaction - great episode which redeemed the season, glad you liked it. Here was the ACTUAL tweet from GCHQ after the episode first aired lol : https://twitter.com/gchq/status/1080462669948297217

The thing that confuses me is that Chibnall was the one who actually brought back UNIT properly in The Power of Three and now he's just scrapped ti

Great reaction. As to your comment, I don't think that everything's resolved between Ryan and his dad, but having him nearly die and saving him probably helps smooth things along just a bit. The guy's still a major orifice. Part of the issue with Ryan is they've written him as an 18 year old boy - overconfident, a bit self-centered, and haven't given him much to do. Graham has had to do all the emotional heavy lifting between the two. It's nice to see him get some growth in this and the last episode. Honestly, I was just really excited that they managed to string together three episodes in a row that I liked before it took that year-long break. It seemed like progress.

The end of time part 2mwas a New Year’s Day special. But it totally fucks me off just how hard Moffat worked to keep that Christmas Day placement and the first fucking thing big Chibbs does in scrap it for good, along with UNIT as well apparently. Series 11 pisses me off.

Single Daleks definitely seem to work better than armies of them.

Mr K

The Doctor's often chatting shit whatever the series. But enjoy your rewatch if it makes you feel better.

Matgo Styles

The ending with the Doctor sliding across the ground in slow motion and chatting absolute shit just makes me wanna rewatch season 1-4 for some good writing

I honestly thought Aaron was going to die on first watch of this and I think it would have been better if he had done as this would have given great tension over Ryan and the Doctor as well as force Ryan and graham to connect more as Graham would be Ryan’s last connection to family

This was definitely one of the better episodes of this last series. I enjoyed this idea for a Dalek episode. The emotional stuff between Ryan, Graham and Aaron was really good. The Wi-fi gag spoilt the momentum, making it a real tumbleweed moment. Chibnall seems to have a significant and very noticeable issue with putting humour into the scripts. I'd miss humour as a staple part of the show, but I'd personally prefer he scaled it back for the time being as he has the tendency to ruin rather than enhance the moment. We've had a few of these eye rolling moments. With the exception of Bradley Walsh, who has worked in Drama and Comedy. No one in the Cast is known for having that string to their bow. We've seen comedians make great actors but the same isn't generally considered to be reversible trait. Looking forward to your reaction to the start of series 12.

Daryl

Loved this episode. Reminded me of Dalek from way back with Eccleston.

Mr K

Glow up of S11 baby! So pumped for you to finally catch up with us!

I believe Dropbox has a view limit of 1 hour, after which you have to download or save it to your own dropbox to continue.

agree with your thoughts on this one. i too enjoyed it more than series 11 as a whole. the thing with ryan's dad is sadly a sympton that chibnall's episodes can't seem to get rid off entirely. there is always great build up, always a grand story there that gets resolved in 5 minutes rather than taking it slower and actually diving deeper into the story than surface level. it was like that with his pre-showrunner episodes too sadly. excited for your opinion on the next couple of episodes though, keep up the great reactions, mate!

Looking forwards to your Spyfall reaction 🙌🔥

What happened to the last couple mins of the episode ?

Season 12 here we come!!! In honor of this occasion I leave you with this.... https://youtu.be/EtM_vcCoKYc May this be added to the 50th blueray special edition.

Great reaction, can't wait for you to start watching series 12!

Alex Cross

You're finally into the good stuff! (in my opinion)

This is easily one of the best Dalek stories we've had in a while. I personally found the Moffat era Dalek stories very weak so it's genuinely refreshing to see the Daleks being threatening after a long time. I also really dig the "Rusty" look of the Dalek's incomplete construction. I enjoyed seeing 13 confront the Dalek for the first time and the scenes with Graham, Ryan and his dad were handled well too. The archaeologists were also good characters and slotted in so well with the team. Regarding the nitpicks, I do agree with you about the cafe scene dragging on a bit too long and Ryan's dad being forgiven too quickly. I actually think the ending would have been better if the Dalek had possessed Ryan instead so that the dad could save him in the end. That way, it could have allowed Ryan to naturally forgive him for saving his life and be more trusting of him. That's the only thing I would change about this episode. But other than that, it was great. Definitely the best Dalek story in a long time IMO.

End of Time Part 2 was also a new years special
