Weekly Progress Update [04/JUL]

Hey everyone!! So sorry for the late update, I honestly forgot about posting yesterday; I came down with Covid last Thursday so even though I've been locked up in my room I was pretty much preoccupied with that. My symptoms are thankfully mild (I'm vaccinated + boosted) but I've had a persistent headache and fatigue so I was a little bit muddled lol.

Onto the actual progress update! 

First, I can say with certainty that we're most likely looking at an August release date for all tiers. I'm aiming for early August for the early access release, so the public release will probably be mid-to-late August.

This is in part because I have absolutely no self-control and keep adding scenes and variations to the chapter haha. I've written a small amount last week (just over 2k words, the total is at 29k now) but now that I'm FINALLY into summer vacation I'm expecting that number to shoot up starting from this week: I'll be aiming for 7k a week (so 1k a day minimum). If I can manage that until August I'll definitely smash my wordcount goal for CH9 lmao

As for the actual content, I've been having a lot of fun with all these court scenes. The shady political maneuvering have been absolutely juicy to write, the court intrigue is definitely coming into play now 👀

Here's a small sample of what you can expect:

Wonder how the Crown is going to handle this one... well, I don't wonder, because I've already written the choices and their outcomes, but it was an incredibly fun scene to write lol. The nobles are definitely starting to show their fangs, so the Crown is going to have to learn how to deal with them very quickly or basically get run over.
