New Video Poll

As I suspected with Dark Athena it took me longer to get it done when I expected it'd be shorter. After Thief 2, The Thing Remastered, Homeworld etc I'm finding videos definitely run longer when they have direct comparisons even though Dark Athena should have been an easy "it's just Riddick with these changes" when I outlined it, but there was a lot more in there. It's why I broke the video up into two rather than tacking on a small aside about it near the end of the Butcher Bay one.

Anyways I'll be out of town for a bit, but back with a Thing giveout (finally) and I'll be cracking on the next video. Most of these have had some work done already and will all be coming at some point, but it's up to you all what's first.

The Callisto Protocol: Final Transmission. The ending story DLC (and updates since) for the game which is a weird parallel to Dead Space 3 where it has "the true ending", but now there's also a Hades clone game in the setting.

SOMA. The next in the Frictional line-up. This one is very story heavy and existential.

Cryostasis: Sleep of Reason. Time shenanigans aboard a frozen ship, with some other chunky combat in that Condemned/Riddick tone.

The Age of Decadence.
The cult RPG created by Iron Tower studios. This one has been being chipped away at a while since RPGs are always bigger affairs, this would just mean to gun for it now.

Thank you as always!

i love soma but im more curious about the calisto protocol DLC

Nancy McCollough

might as well continue the frictional games catalog and get it up to The Bunker then!

Vonerd

That Oni reference in THE LIST still well on its way to becoming a cryptid.

Guidrion

Don't really mind what you make, I find nearly all of your videos entertaining. Keep up the great work Mandalore.

Nomads-of-Korsun

Awesome. I voted for Soma! Thanks dude.

Bigman Johnson

One day I dream of seeing Aegis Sentinel on one of these polls

Stormz23

Looking forward to any of these. Is System Shock Remake still a thing or are you waiting for SS2 Enhanced?

Kiros

I figured SOMA should come before that, as it does have some progression lines into Rebirth. I played both again last year to double check.

MandaloreGaming

You tease, you got me all excited with that Infra flash a while ago. Hard to pick, but SOMA was over-hyped for me, and cult RPGs are always interesting, so Age of Decadence got my vote.

Kat S

Amnesia Rebirth. Continue that series.

Bigman Johnson

I actively very much dislike Soma. I found the main character to be obnoxious, the gameplay to be obnoxious very similar to your complaints about the pigmen in Amnesia, the story wasn't very groundbreaking for me being a big scifi fan. So I very much want to hear your thoughts to see if all this goddamn praise I hear and read is objectively warranted, or if it's everyone else who is crazy.

Alex Greiner

Lots of good options but age of decadence is so unique it gets my vote. Plus people can pick it up super cheap!

Prodmage

I feel like SOMA has been done to death, so hopefully anything other than that.

Having finished SOMA only a few months ago, I've been itching to hear your thoughts on it!

Colin Horen

Man I really want that Callisto dlc video, but an AOD video could actively help that studio out, it feels wrong to vote anything but that honestly

Eli A

Age of Decadence is a very cool RPG, but seeing your review for SOMA should be interesting

Rux74

Honestly all four of these are pretty great choices

Grey Wolverine

Age of Decadence sounds like my kind of thing.

Uatcher

SOMA is just too good

Thymos

people are sleeping on The Age of Decadence here, it needs proper coverage

Hooter71

Wow this is a hard one, since Callisto Protocol is a weird case due to the DLC, but i love SOMA too much
