The Modded Player - Part 1
Added 2025-12-02 05:13:43 +0000 UTCWhew! I cut it close on not making a liar out of myself, but I made it! Just barely short of a day late, we've got the first release of The Modded Player. Already 120 images, this is turning out to be a bit bigger of a project than I'd originally intended, but I'll talk more about that and what it means later.
Either way, for now, you get to have fun with a new escaped-theme game...or the first part of one, at least! Currently, you can play through a 2-path intro, plus explore the town of Summer's Release a bit, with multiple encounters with NPCs as the Mage's Guild and in town. Earn money engaging in the World's Oldest Profession, learn magic from the Combat Instructor at the Guild, and experiment with magic that you maybe shouldn't with haughty elf you'll probably want to smack ;-).
This is a TWINE game, so it plays in whatever your default browser is. I think even Safari finally gave in and supports webp, now, so there shouldn't be too many issues. Just download it, unzip the game, and launch it via the html file!
Fair warning! Testing was a bit rushed, so there may be a few bugs I missed!

I'm glad you're enjoying it :-). I got a little ambitious and decided to make it less linear than The Morning After, and I wasn't sure how people would take that.
