Episodes start getting more jampacked, so since we got some lore I'll highlight the throughline of DNA mentions. Viral and Lordgenome's names of course. His throne being a double-helix. But the one's that are easiest to miss (especially if you didn't take highschool biology in English) are the names of the 4 generals. They're taken from the 4 nucleotide bases of DNA in English. Adiane=Adenine, Thymilph=Thymine, Guame=Guanine, Cytomander=Cytosine. If you don't recognize them, the letters ACGT show up in pop culture occasionally (like GATTACA). I don't know if it means much, more just Gainax's signature "throw symbolism at the wall and make the audience figure it out", but I find it fun. Other thing, on the frame of Lordgenome as a spiral warrior we see a tiny Guame on his shoulder. He was Lordgenome's Buuta...π’ I find that super endearing even after their roles as villains.
