The Fairy Troubles?! | The Garden of Sinners Chapter 6: Oblivion Recording REACTION

Azaka is such a fun character, I like her a lot! This movie really escalated in the second half huh...

Comments

Ok, this fucking movie, this adaptation is trash. Absolute trash. This chapter in the novel is one of the best ones and is as long as Paradox Paradigm. I'm usually really bias against Ufotable, but this movie is just so bad of an adaptation man... 1. First of all, let's clarify why is such a bad adaptation. It changes completly the plot of the chapter. In th movies is jus about a drogadict and his victim. In the novel the plot is about an underground market of highchool girls prostitution lead by Hayama. Is a heavy chapter with much more obscure things. Why did Ufotable made this change? No idea, they never addressed the decision. So there is no reason at all. In the novel the characters, the mystery and the resolution are so much better. It's not even comparable. Fucking bullshit, sorry about the insults but this movie makes me so mad. Azaka as a character is so much better and more composed, something more similar to Rin. Ouji have a much deeper motive and have some parallels with Azaka, that makes her a much more reasonable antagonist. She's actually being manipulated by Kurogiri Satsuki by making her think that he is her brother and that she loves him. This makes her have more empathy with Azaka. Kurogiri Satsuki is a far more complex character. So when he was a child the fairies stole his memories and the capacity to retain memories. So he cannot remember people, he can only record some basic impressions of people. In exchange he recieved the Unified Lenguage, this lenguage allows him to speak/write and undertand every lenguage in human history, it also can manipulate people's perception with his words. The motive as to why he was manipulating Ouji and the fairies is because he grant wishes as a form of understanding people. And actually the fairies in this chapter are artificial, they were created by Kurogiri based on spirits. Yeah, fairies can be artificially created, homunculus for example are a kind of artificial fairy. Yeah, fairies can have a lot of shpaes, from bugs to humans to monsters. Continuing with Kurogiri, and something the movie mentioned but the subtitles just didn't catch, he actually have a Sealing Designation order. His power is far too dangerous and unique for the Assosiation to let him go. That makes him one of the only magi with a Sealing Designation along with Emiya Norikata and Aozaki Touko. And finally his conclusion in the novel is great but the movie just... you know... didn't do anything with him. God I hate this movie. Regarding the powers of Azaka. As you have seen she is good with fire. Her attribute is fire and Touko mentions that she is very good at burning things. She is very talented with everything that have to do with heat. And that's why she can percieve fairies, she cannot see them since she doesn't have Mystic Eyes, but she can percieve heat sources around her. That's how she fought against fairies. Thing that the movie not even bothered to explain. Also the Origin of Azaka is "Taboo", that's why she like the prohibited. As to what is an "Origin", continue watching The Garden of Sinners to know more. To end my rambling about how much better the novel is, 2 details. First one is that the one that asked Touko to invertigate Reien case is some known character from Melty Blood called Riesbyfe. Second, Shiki's memories, she actually doesn't remember the male SHIKI's memories form 1996. That is until Kurogiri gave her memories back in this movie. Thing that is not made clear in the movies. 2. Ok, I finished my complain. Now some little details in the movie. -Fujino appeard in this movie at the beggining, after all she lives and study here. -In the minute 12:45 the fish tank says that you cannot feed the fishes, that's why Shiki had that disappointed face. -The girl at the end is Seo, tha roommate that Azaka mentioned. 3. Actually Azaka is not Proto Rin. Azaka and Rin are a derivative of a character from Witch on the Holy Night known as Aozaki Aoko (Touko's sister yeah). She is the original archtype of the "tsundere" characters of Nasu. 4. The only thing that I like about this movie is the OST. 5. Don't watch remix, is not necessary at all. That was a long one. I just wanted to make clear that my goat Nasu didn't washed with this chapter, is actually Ufotable's fault. Ok, see you in movie 7.

Counter Force

Oh course Mat likes Azaka, his bias for Rin-types is going strong xD
