For those of you who have been following along in discord most of this information will be old news by now, but for everyone else it's fun to finally share!
A little over two months back Games Workshop approached us for the first time and offered us a really cool opportunity. To promote the upcoming relaunch of the new Horus Heresy game they wanted to send us an advanced copy of the new box set. Have us paint it in a chosen Legion to be displayed in warhammer world along with many other content creators and then send one of us to warhammer world to attend warhammer fest for the big reveal.
Obviously we were very excited but at the same time very nervous. I mean getting to display something we did at Warhammer world is very very exciting!

Tak And Tycho worked incredibly hard to put together this army. I think we almost broke Tak in the process. Even coffee didn't seem to be enough.
We got to review the rules and the miniatures. (both of which we have recorded videos of that we will be releasing later)
The miniature's are beautiful, particularly the plastic spartan. And some of the unreleased kits look mind-blowing in person. Particular the new tank!
The rules are essentially 7th edition refined. Armour facing, blast templates, with a bunch of great changes such as reactions to keep you engaged in your opponents turns and needed things like wound allocation adjustments. I particularly like the ruleset and we will do some experimenting with it to see how it goes!
I was given the honour of being Playon's representative and it was, frankly, amazing. Got to meet so many fans and even some you Patrons. One kid even came up and asked me to sign his miniature!

This kind of collaboration with content creators (over 30 of us) and the level of access we were granted to releases and staff is kinda unprecedented in the history of Games Workshop.

I'm writing this in the airport on the way home, very tired from not adjusting to the time zone (8 hour difference. But at the same time I'm coming home incredibly inspired by everyone I met, the fans I got to see in person, and frankly the whole experience. When we started this project a little more than 3 years ago, we never could have imagined that we would be here. And so much of it thanks to fans and supporters such as yourself. We never would have gotten this far without your support. I'll be sharing more from the trip and stay tuned for a tour through Warhammer world Museum as well! We have so much in store for you this year and we can't wait to show it all to you.
Play on!
Nick
