The classical dilemma between how mentally and also permanently scarring it can be to not do something you're so strongly emotionally attached on so many levels and how physically damaging it could be if something goes wrong. To me, it felt like the natural progression with Minami's emotions here about it which she had tucked away in her heart that one who understands her struggle emotionally like Arata and Shion would support her to let her emotions fly and not tug them away even more. Beyond the situation showcased here, it also displays a central character flaw on Minami's part after all. Tugging her own feelings away too much... wait a minute... writing it down like that makes me realize how this could relate to the main plot of the story here for Minami.
