ALL STARS - Episode 02: The Announcement!

By now, many of you have seen the first installment of our ALL STAR Series through Patreon and we released it to our YouTube Audience today! We are happy that it has made such a splash in our community and that everyone is enjoying the antics of our players and the joyfully snarky editor notes!

While ALL STARS shares much with our regular episodes of 40k in 40m, it is distinct... it is a different show. In Play On ALL STARS, we are taking feed back from our community on the kinds of players you want to see, the kinds of armies we are going to show, and the kinds of games we are going to play. Think of these games as exciting exhibition matches between favorite players using requested armies and playing interesting games that Patrons in the Producer Tier will have a hand in setting up!

So here we go... the next episode in the ALL STAR Series!

Only Da Biggest, Only Da Best!

As I look back in our video archive, there are a few players that really stand out as fan favorites. One of them is the one, the only, James "Mr. Initiative" Jones! We have done some great work with James over the past few years. James appeared in our first season of 40k in 40m playing Orks against JT McDowell! James showed up again in the beginning of 40k in 40m, Season 3, playing against Necrons, again in an episode of Kill Team, and Nick interviewed James in an Army Showcase for his Ork army! 

James has quickly become a reoccurring personality on the channel and his chemistry on camera, dedication to the hobby, and his undying love of the Greenskin Hordes makes him the perfect choice to include in the second episode of ALL STARS. Additionally, with the release of Codex: Orks, I'm sure that James (and all of you) are itching to see some beautiful new models hit the table top as soon as possible!

A Worthy Opponent

We discussed at length how to best showcase a fun game for such a fun faction like Orks, especially with the release of their fantastic new book. We decided that there really is only one option to get a game with some real gravitas! There are many rivals in the 40k universe and many more in the science-fiction and fantasy settings that we all hold very close: Spiderman vs. Dr. Octopus, Superman vs. Lex Luther, Elves vs. Dwarves, the Imperium of Man vs. Everything that Moves, the Canucks vs. the Flames (Canadian reference).

There is one faction... above all else... that truly hates Orks the most. The Crimson Fists hold a special spark of hatred for the greenskin menace and SpaceMarineSteve is ready to roll out the heroes of the imperium to dismantle James' ramshackle weapons of war. 

Hated Foes and the Best of Friends

James and Steve have been good friends for years, being connected by the hobby and playing Warhammer with one another has forged a great bond of friendship and we believe that you'll see the two of them do a desperate duel by these two rival factions some great and entertaining justice!

As filming day inches closer, updates will start to pop up in the Producer Tier of Patreon to help us make key decisions about the game and how these two will perform a clash of two great factions. Stay tuned for army updates, painting pics, and producer polls!
