40k ALL STARS - Choosing Armies

Sometimes players will come along with an army that they need to play for one reason or another and sometimes we have some control over what people play on the channel.

Steve and Tak are about to throw down and Tak is going to be playing his Ultramarines. Now, Tak has to play Ultramarines but Steve has got some options! We can't have him playing Ultramarines, of course, but we do need to pick something that works well for Steve, works well for the game, and something we think that public wants to see.

So, Let's Pick Steve's Army!

Salamanders

A truly classic choice with some really unique characters and army themes. If you cast your vote for Salamanders, you should expect a legion of marines in transports with plenty of flame throwers and melta guns.  It is also a great choice because the channel has not had a Salamanders army on camera yet (aside from Kill Team). Want to see Steve play Salamanders?

Iron Hands

Another choice we haven't yet seen on the channel and it has a very different feel than that of the Salamanders. If you cast your vote for Iron Hands, you should expect plenty of vehicles, heavy weapons, and classic Dreadnoughts filling out Steve's vintage marine force! If you want to see Tak's Ultramarines run, face first, into Steve's invincible Iron Hands... this is the choice for you.

Dark Angels

Now here is an army that have been on the channel already piloted by Chris Jones. However, this is a choice that is very current. Sometimes, we make army and player choices based on Games Workshop's release schedule (I remember building and painting a pack of Chaos Knights in a single weekend because the models JUST came out). Well, Dark Angels are the most recent Codex Supplement release and the new rules have yet to be shown on the channel. Combine that with unique models in the Dark Angles range that are all first born Space Marines, well... Steve could put together something really special. Expect bikers, terminators and plenty of secrets lol.
