Hello, Everyone!
Space Marine Steve signing in, hot on the heels of our latest filming of Kill Team Challenger. The first season of Kill Team Challenger is a Pilot Season, so only 5 episodes long, and my last game against a long-time friend of mine, Ian McMurchy, and his Necrons.
How the game went is information that I am keeping locked up in the Play On Vault. With that being said, I think letting you all in on a little secret of our production style (sorry, Tak, I said no secret stuff... but... they're cool, it's all good).

Now, I know what you're thinking... it looks like it should be mounted on the front of a Baneblade and have a damage profile that would make a Space Marine sweat.... (that is what you were thinking, right?)
You are looking at one of Play On Tabletop's secret weapons and it has a very unique purpose in our studio. I'm going to turn it over to the man whom was the most excited when we first picked it up, Tau Nick! I asked him to shed a little light on particular use of this lens and why we use it during production.
"It simulates what a camera, scaled down to the size of a miniature, would see: how much is in focus... how wide the shot is... As well as being small enough that we can go through windows and get even closer to the smaller details on our sets."
- Nick Froese
Creating the appearance that a camera has been scaled right down to the size of a miniature, absolutely mind blowing. I get the distinct image of Servitors with movie cameras for arms, and I'm sure Nick would be into that, haha.
Tech is just one part of the formula that makes Play On Tabletop unique. We are committed to pushing the frontiers of making battle reports and this probe lens helps pave the way to the next level.
I hope you liked your first peek behind the curtain and hearing about one of our secret weapons. Until I see you again in the grim dark future of a far flung universe... Play On.
