You won't have any trouble understanding First Order because it's the beginning of the game. However, the later installments in the series skip most of the story and essentially assume knowledge of the game. It's kind of like fanservice that mostly meant for people who've played the game. But in any case, I hope you'll enjoy it somehow!

2025-03-21 21:28:03 +0000 UTCOkay, the Reverse Side of the World thingy. In Fate, reality is made up of layers or "textures"(as it is more often related as). The Reverse side of the World is indeed another layer that exists "kinda below our own" (stay with me here, this is some high concept bs). During the Age of Gods, Phantasmal species and Magical Beasts really did freely roam Earth. After the separation, however, and as science advanced and myth started to weaken, these species started to migrate to the Reverse side. The Reverse side is kinda of a nuts place, inaccessible (for the most part) to any non phantasmal species. Here is where places like Avalon exist.

Because otherwise there's 100% going to be things you won't understand since camelot is the sixth story section and babylonia the seventh, so you would be jumping from 1 to 6 and 7 since there's no anime adaptation for the 2,3,4,5 stories of Grand Order.
