The execution of what are pretty typical and at times cliche story beats is what makes this story so special. I can't recall another rejected confession where I was cheering for the main character for standing on business and telling it how it is. And even better, you can start to see how they set up the arcs for the other characters. Moriya realizing she's being immature and that Kyo is right about her. Love this series. If it gets another season I'd be over the moon. There's so much more to adapt and I'd love to see it.
