Building a Brand - Our Name is Everything

When we started Play On Tabletop, it wasn't close to what it is today. Every decision we made in the creation of the channel and our brand was deliberate. We wanted a name that was easy to say, something that really rolled off the tongue. We also wanted to make sure that the name spoke to what our vision of the channel was, a place for people to be inspired to play. 

Once we landed on the name we needed a logo that felt right. Something that people could recognize as both a symbol and a sign. However, it was also important to us that there be some layered meaning. Some of you may have noticed that our current logo gently resembles a spru from a model kit, this was definitely on purpose. We also made sure to select striking colours that were both recognizable and easy on the eyes (we are content creators, not a sports team).

Play On Tabletop Means Everything

We may not be the fasted YouTube channel on the planet and I'm sure everyone wishes we could release a 40k in 40m every week, I wish we could too. However, while we are limited (for now) in some ways we strive to make up for in quality. The crew of Play On Tabletop is filled with some of the hardest working and most talented people I know. We are dedicated to giving our audience something they can't get anywhere else: beautiful armies, exciting games, groundbreaking edits, unforgettable personalities, and a place for us all to be truly inspired to play. 

The game that inspired me to get better as a painter, after watching this game between Dark Angels and Imperial Guard, I decided that I was going to improve my personal style and expand my hobby skill set to raise the bar for the channel. We all have a responsibility to grow and evolve with the channel. - SpaceMarineSteve

The Evolution of Gaming

We all love this hobby and at Play On Tabletop, we want to help take it to the next level. As gaming becomes more popular world wide and more people are watching our content and other's, our goal is to set the standard in a new world of content creation. Even in our short time on the scene, we have collaborated with older channels, inspired new ones, and shaken up the world of battle reports. This evolution starts here and ends when we are filming our own Netflix series! (Okay, sorry, I'll tone it down... that would be sweet though... I'd even accept Crave in a pinch) Seriously though, you have backed a team with the drive to make new frontiers the only destination. From YouTube and Patreon to all the new and exciting places we can take this, it all started with the right name. Play On.
