The Crusade BEGINS!
Added 2020-09-01 01:39:53 +0000 UTCWe are very excited to kick-off the Crusade campaign here on Patreon, only for Patrons.
With a new format comes the ability to be producing content quicker with the real benefit of being able to engage more with Patrons as our narrative campaign grows and evolves. In the coming weeks expect to have more interactions with us to decide the fate of our armies.
In the next few days you will see posts that tell the story of how the Raven Guard, Death Guard, Adeptus Mechanicus, Aeldari, Grey Knights, and Tau have come to this desolate sector of the universe.
And as always we appreciate your feedback. Let us know how we did with this first episode.

Combat Patrol missions aren't ones that we have had a lot of practice playing and there are nuances to it that we are all learning. **There is one more episode where Steve uses the same army but after that one game things will be corrected game play wise** Thanks for the catch!

2020-09-04 23:52:13 +0000 UTCNick, that is an awesome idea! I think some Tactical Marines in a Rhino or a Drop Pod would be a great addition to my Crusade Roster. Yes, the armies will get bigger! How big?? We aren't really sure yet! However people use their requisition points will kind of dictate that. However, the games will increase in size a little probably up to 50PL per size or maybe larger! We do want to make sure the games remain watchable in this unabridged format. - Steve

I can see why Steve had a hard time, with such a small list and with the lists always changing between matches, it's hard to choose what you believe is best. I got a question as the Crusade moves did I hear correctly that the armies will get bigger, and how big will the armies get near the end of the crusade you think. If so I got a suggestion for Steve when it gets bigger bring a squad of tactical marines(original/stubs) and equip them with weapons good for armor units, maybe that'll help if your allowed.

I'm just asking cause otherwise the minus 1 would have killed two hellblasters turn 1 since they overcharged and current plasma rules state a minus 1 will cause overcharge to kill on a 2 or 1

It will be a journey like 40k in 40m as we learn the new equipment and beats of this show you will see us refine the presentation as we go.

This is by design. 40k in 40m is an incredible show but it's something we can't do every week or even two weeks, right now. With that being said, we will see what we can do about making it a little cleaner in the future :) we also really appreciate the feedback, it's the only way we get better.

This is our first try with the new toy (the switcher) and its very different from e-sports and sports in general where the commentating can happen over no other player audio.
