World Sneak Peek - Part 1 - Crystal Lake

Hello!

This time around I'm here to tell you about a very special lake...

Not only is this the place where our main character ends up falling at the very start of the story, the Crystal Lake is one of the most sacred and protected places in Elfheim. It is believed that the lake is the final destination to all the excess mana that flows beneath the Great Forest, this belief is connected to the “Crystal” in its name, not just because of its clear waters, but to a legend that says a giant mana crystal is supposedly located somewhere deep underwater.

Beyond what it's commonly known for, there are many other mysteries surrounding these calm waters. Some would say connections to other worlds are naturally created when the starry sky merges with its vast mirrored horizon, this almost poetic legend might be related to a very recent event concerning a man who fell from the sky into the lake in broad daylight, he was subsequently rescued by rugged fishermen, I mean- by two naked female elves…

Before it was known to be a lake, many thought it was a sea due to its extensive span. The crystalline waters tendency to display a reflection of the sky were responsible for its previous name: “Sea of Mirrors”.

Currently, it’s located at the center of the Elvish territory, it is considered a place of respect and location to many ceremonies, offerings and rituals. Those who can manipulate mana, even if inexperienced, can achieve an unnatural and temporary proficiency in their spell casting while bathing in the energy rich water or even if they are standing nearby due to the absurd amount of “Mana” emanating from the Crystal Lake.
