Delicious in Dungeon Episode 1 - 2 REACTION

It's time to dive into this one! The last anime of 2024 that I really wanted to check out, the schedule will be very inconsistent and it will be uploaded whenever I have time. Enjoy!

You know... I am sure you are surprised to see me here, but this anime had been... an omnipresent show on a different anime reaction YouTuber's Discord Server with various users even having #WatchDungeonMeshi or something of the like in their username to make the reactor watch or continue watching it. Though there is also a staff-related thing which makes me interested in this... the Series Composition is handled by うえのきみこ (Kimiko Ueno), a writer I am familiar with due to purley Pokémon Horizons as one of the new writers of that show writing minor episodes (the scripts for episodes involving a certain Mighty G were written by her for instance) and... now that I heard the Music credit (7:47)... I realize there's one more staff I have a foundness of... 光田康典 (Yasunori Mitsuda)... he's more commonly known for Video Game Music than anime music and one of the franchises blessed by his incredible work... is Xenoblade Chronicles - a franchise I am currently watching the third installment of on stream myself. As for the series itself, I've been wanting to see a medieval fantasy anime with RPG elements for a while now and this here puts absurdity with that neatly. *Since I mentioned Xenoblade just before... yeah, that series of games basically feels like an anime at some points too. - 22:30: "Duck wielding Leeks for Sword" - What is this? Pokémon? - 29:35: When you have the same Sound Effects Supervisor as the secondary one on Pokémon, 小山健二 (Kenji Koyama), then I guess I am not surprised that I did recognize some of the SFX.

Great to see it, its my top 3 fantasy anime.

this series is great! and if you have the time on the side, watch an episode or two on your own, not recording, in the dub. it is also good.

Idk if you've noticed, but you're watching the wrong subtitles. Those are the transcription of the English dub, not the translations of the Japanese dub. Naturally, they're pretty similar so it doesn't really matter too much, just thought you might wanna know.

As a note, 11/12/13 are a good trio of episodes to watch together. Thats about the only ones that are a mini *arc*

if you love detailed worldbuilding you're in for an absolute TREAT with this show. can't wait to see more! ps. all the illustrations in the ED are by the original mangaka, ryoko kui. they're all really lovely

Oh shit, we are feasting!

What a great surprise. I wasn't a big fan at first but it kept getting better with each episode
